Job Summary
Rodeo Cannabis Co. is a vertically integrated cannabis company with cultivation, manufacturing, and dispensary operations in Connecticut. We are hiring a MIPs Kitchen Technician to join our Marijuana Infused Products (MIPs) kitchen team at our Sterling, CT facility. The MIPs Kitchen Technician is responsible for producing high-quality cannabis edibles and infused products in a fast-paced, regulated production environment. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys precision, follows recipes with care, and takes pride in producing consistent, compliant products.
Key Responsibilities
  • Produce cannabis infused products (gummies, edibles, and other MIPs) following approved recipes and formulations.
  • Accurately weigh, measure, and mix ingredients - including cannabis oil, distillate, and other raw materials - to strict specifications.
  • Operate commercial kitchen and production equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Follow all recipes and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure batch-to-batch consistency.
  • Maintain accurate batch records, ingredient logs, and compliance documentation.
  • Uphold sanitation, food safety, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) at all times.
  • Clean and sanitize workstations, equipment, and utensils throughout and at the end of each shift.
  • Inspect finished products for quality, consistency, and appearance.
  • Assist with raw material intake, storage, and inventory tracking as needed.
  • Support the MIPs kitchen team with additional production and prep tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications
  • Strong attention to detail - recipes and measurements must be followed precisely.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive tasks, and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Capable of repetitive bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds as needed.
  • Comfortable working with kitchen equipment, hot surfaces, and food-grade ingredients.
  • Ability to follow strict standard operating procedures in a regulated cannabis environment.
  • Strong sanitation habits and commitment to cleanliness.
  • Reliable, dependable, and team-oriented work ethic.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older per Connecticut cannabis regulations.
  • Must successfully pass a background check as required by Connecticut cannabis industry compliance.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in a commercial kitchen, food production, or edibles/MIPs environment.
  • ServSafe certification or equivalent food safety training.
  • Background in regulated manufacturing (food, cannabis, or pharmaceutical).
  • Familiarity with seed-to-sale compliance tracking systems such as Biotrack or METRC.
  • Experience following batch recipes and maintaining production records.
  • Prior experience with confectionery, baking, candy-making, or precision food production.
