Retail Lead
Reports To: Store Manager
FLSA: Exempt
Department: Retail Operations
Location: MO
Pay Range: $41,600.00 annual salary
Position Summary
The Retail Lead plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of Mint Cannabis' dispensary. This position serves as the go-to resource for team members on the floor - ensuring compliance, maintaining flow, driving customer satisfaction, and assisting with leadership responsibilities. If you're a natural leader with a passion for cannabis, people, and positive vibes, this role was made for you. 🌱
Responsibilities
  • Support daily dispensary operations, including opening and closing procedures.
  • Lead by example on the sales floor - greeting guests, answering questions, and verifying allotments.
  • Train, coach, and inspire Budtenders to deliver top-tier service and product knowledge.
  • Ensure accurate inventory management, compliance documentation, and display presentation.
  • Handle customer escalations with professionalism, empathy, and composure.
  • Operate the POS system, assist with cash handling, and maintain financial accuracy.
  • Communicate effectively with management to ensure smooth operations and goal alignment.
  • Uphold all company policies, procedures, and state cannabis regulations.

Qualifications
  • 1+ year of experience in cannabis, retail, or customer service.
  • 1+ year of leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong communication, training, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Working knowledge of cannabis products, brands, and compliance guidelines.
  • Dependable, punctual, and adaptable to changing priorities.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Facility Agent Card per Missouri state law.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Reliable transportation and valid government-issued ID.
  • Ability to pass a background check and fingerprint clearance.

Physical Requirements
  • Standing, walking, and interacting with guests for extended periods.
  • Lifting, carrying, and moving product up to 50 lbs.
  • Manual dexterity and visual acuity for product handling and transactions.

Work Environment
  • Fast-paced, customer-facing retail environment.
  • Frequent interaction with guests and team members in a regulated setting.
  • PPE and safety protocols as required by state and company standards.
