Job description

Aeriz is searching for a full-time Flower Technician- for our state-of-the-art indoor aeroponic cannabis production facility in Riverbank, CA. The successful candidate will possess a passion for horticulture, excellent interpersonal skills, experience leading others, and strong cannabis knowledge with a willingness to continually learn more about the subject.

The Flower Technician will ensure we grow different strains properly, and you'll identify and resolve issues with plants. You should have a hands-on approach with good knowledge of cannabis genetics and growth requirements. Your goal will be to ensure we satisfy our customers with high-quality cannabis products. This role will report directly to the Flower Lead Technician and work on-site at our facility in Riverbank, Ca.

ย  ย  ย  ย Follow cultivation plans outlined by the lead and/or manager.ย 
ย  ย  ย  ย Perform daily process of transplanting, cloning, defoliation and trimming of plants.
ย  ย  ย  ย Perform maintenance operations (including disposing waste and preventing contaminations).
ย  ย  ย  ย Identify plant health issues like mold, mildew or other pest infestations.
ย  ย  ย  ย Follow and maintain legal compliance of cultivation procedures.
ย  ย  ย  ย Maintain all plants in flower stage.
ย  ย  ย  ย Routinely use scissors, shears, for performing plant maintenance such as defoliation, and plant clean up.
Perform other cultivation tasks as lead and/or manager determines necessary.ย 

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.ย 
Proven experience as a grower at a large-scale cultivation facility preferred.
Knowledge of cannabis growth cycle and requirements preferred.
Understanding of pest and disease management techniques preferred.
Problem-solving aptitude.
Must be able to work in a team environment.
Ability to take direction from lead and/or manager.
A minimum of 21 years of age.ย 
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach, bend, climb, stretch and lift 30 pounds. Requires the manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment and hand tools.
Work Environment:
This position involves a fair amount of manual labor which requires repetitive tasks. This position operates indoors which can reach different temperatures. This position may require working at heights up to or exceeding 10 feet. The Cultivation Department operates on weekends and holidays, and standard work hours may apply regardless of day or season.ย
