Work Location & Schedule: Fairfield, CA
Position requires ability to work overtime. As a result, it may require working varying start times, end times, and weekends dependent on business needs.

A Packaging Heavy Lifter, reports to our Packaging Supervisor and plays a key role in delivering quality candy products to customers everywhere. In this hands-on position, you'll help keep production moving by performing all duties assigned involving the packaging of product. packing cases or caddies, gathering, mixing, and feeding packaging equipment with product, marking cases or cartons, inspection of product, and assembly of cartons or cases.
Ways You Will Make a Difference
  • Employee will be required to perform unassisted, constant and repetitive lifting of materials weighing 25 lbs. - 50 lbs
  • Packing cases or caddies
  • Gathering, mixing, and feeding packaging equipment with product
  • Marking cases or cartons

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers in English. Ability to write and speak simple sentences in English.

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
  • REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

The employee may be required to perform other such duties within the scope of their employment as may be assigned. Regular, predictable, full-time attendance is required as an essential function of this position. Wages, hours, and working conditions are outlined in a Collective Bargaining Agreement between Jelly Belly Candy Company and Bakery, Confectionery, Tobacco Workers & Grainmillers International Union, AFL-CIO, Local #125. Overtime as outlined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement is mandatory. An essential function of this job is a requirement to work all hours scheduled.
