Job description

Registrar Consultant Opportunity

CampusWorks is looking for Registrar Consultants to assist our higher education clients in strengthening their registration operations and enhancing the student experience. This individual will use their subject matter expertise in the registrar office to guide clients in adopting best practices and maximizing the use of the technology to support the registration operations and help clients achieve their goals. The consulting engagements may be remote or onsite and can include serving as an interim Registrar, leading a Business Process Review project, or optimizing their registration system. These roles can be full-time or contract consultant (1099) opportunities. Please specify your preference in the application.

These individuals will work collaboratively with our clients to streamline operations and ensure compliance, train new users, and/or ensure the operations are fully leveraging the registration ERP functionality. The ideal candidates will have expertise in the business processes associated with the student lifecycle, including but not limited to Registration and Academic Records. They will also have a working knowledge of Recruitment, Admissions, Advising, Program Evaluation, Curriculum, Scheduling, Analytics, and Reporting areas. Expertise in other areas and ERP solutions is a plus.

CampusWorks consultants engage with our clients in higher education to assist them in fully leveraging their people, processes, policies, and technologies. We work collaboratively with clients' functional and technical teams and our CampusWorks colleagues to evaluate current processes, design future-state optimal processes, and to architect, develop, test, train, and rollout process and technical solutions that delight our clients.

Responsibilities
  • Serving as Interim Registrar, providing day-to-day leadership of the registration department staff
  • Providing oversight, direction, guidance, and coordination of the current registration projects and priorities
  • Assessing the efficiency of the registrar department
  • Providing registration consulting to higher education clients on a variety of student services topics/challenges
  • Designing and delivering training
  • Assisting clients in how to best align policy, process, procedures, and personnel to effectively leverage registration solutions
Requirements
  • 5+ years' experience as a college or university Registrar
  • Experience with a higher education ERP software (e.g. Ellucian Colleague, Banner, Jenzabar, Workday), including hands-on experience with the registration functionality and the ability to train end users
  • Experience assessing registrar operations and making recommendations for process improvement, including reviewing and recommending policy changes, staffing and organizational alignment changes, and realignment of roles and responsibilities when appropriate
  • Solid leadership skills, including facilitating diverse groups, creating consensus building and preparing the organization and individuals for change and ongoing continuous improvement
  • Demonstration of superior communication skills and the ability to provide a consultative approach to end clients
