Position Responsibilities
  • In an assigned area(s), patrols the buildings and grounds observing for persons or conditions which could adversely affect the security and safety of the Medical Center.
  • Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft
  • Locates and reports hazardous conditions and illegal activities as observed or documented
  • Warn persons of rule infractions or violations, and apprehend or evict violators from premises, using force when necessary
  • Responds to alarms and dispatched calls; decides what actions to take based on situation, facts known and position limitations
  • Courteously controls subjects and witnesses and protects the scene and any physical evidence as observed by the discipline and the supervisor
  • Identifies and obtains statements from all persons having knowledge of the subject of investigation as evidenced by a complete and accurate report
  • Identifies gathers or photographs all physical evidence regarding the subject of the investigation as observed by supervisors or the respective documentation

Qualifications
  • Security License preferred, Crisis Prevention Intervention training within first 4 months of employment
  • Possession of a valid Florida Driver's license with a "good" driving history and no more than 4 points.
  • High school diploma required
  • 5+ Years of previous security experience prior experience in law enforcement / military preferred.
