Job description

Welcome to Campspot! Whether you are an avid camper, the occasional glamper, an expert RV-er, or new to the outdoors entirely, we're interested in working with you. Our team values diverse perspectives as we seek to create an easy-to-navigate and meaningful camping experience for everyone.
We hope you will consider joining our team! ALL human beings are welcome, and we are committed to helping you thrive here. We believe our team, as well as the outdoors, is for everyone.
As a National Outbound Sales Account Executive at Campspot you'll be an integral part of our mission to power and transform the campground industry. If you're passionate about camping and driving revenue through innovative technology, we want you on our team.
In this position, you'll play a key role in driving our revenue growth by bringing new private, city, and county campgrounds across North America onto our software platform. You'll take ownership of the entire sales cycle-from the first touchpoint to closing the deal-in a fast-paced environment. Your focus will be on messaging, prospecting, qualifying leads, and securing partnerships, all while proudly representing the Campspot brand.
To thrive in this role, you'll need to effectively manage a full lead pool, maintaining a healthy pipeline of deals at every stage. Staying organized and proactive will be essential to ensuring each opportunity gets the attention it deserves, helping you guide them all to a successful close. This will often be a consultative sale, where building strong relationships is key to closing deals, along with adapting to the prospect's level of technical and business acumen.
This role requires a curious and tenacious thinker who is dedicated to learning and deeply understanding the unique and complex needs of campground owners. While prior Account Executive experience is helpful, this is also an ideal opportunity for a proven SDR or BDR ready to take the next step and own the full sales cycle. If you've been excelling at top-of-funnel and are hungry to close, we're building the team to grow with you.
Responsibilities
  • Lead generation and relationship building: Identify and hunt cold prospects not engaged with Campspot, to generate leads and identify new business opportunities. Utilize various channels, including cold calling, email outreach, and networking, to engage potential clients.
  • Pipeline development: Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective clients by proactively identifying decision-makers, understanding their needs, and qualifying opportunities for further engagement.
  • Solution positioning: Understand customer needs and pain points to effectively present and position our software solution.
  • Consultative selling: Lead a consultative sale by becoming an expert in both the campground industry and with the Campspot platform/solution.
  • Sales process: Diligently manage the leads at every stage of the close process with focused follow up and management of lead stages to ensure that we have full coverage of all opportunities.
  • Market insight: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics. Provide insights to the sales team and leadership on emerging opportunities and challenges
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with internal teams, including marketing, implementation, customer success, inbound sales, and product, to ensure a seamless client experience and drive customer satisfaction.
  • CRM management: Utilize CRM software to track and manage sales activities, client interactions, and progress towards targets. Provide regular updates on sales performance and contribute to sales forecasting.

Qualifications
  • 2+ years of sales experience, preferably in a SaaS environment - including SDR/BDR roles where you've owned outbound prospecting and pipeline generation
  • Demonstrated track record of hitting or exceeding quota in a high-volume outreach environment
  • Coachable and eager to develop consultative selling skills; prior closing experience preferred but not required
  • Comfortable owning both the prospecting and closing motion - this role is a natural progression for SDRs ready to run the full cycle, or AEs who thrive when owning the full pipeline
  • Experience with Hubspot, Salesforce, and forecasting tools is a plus
  • Has a strong understanding of some sales process (eg, BANT, MEDDIC, etc.) and consistently uses a methodology to hit pipeline generation goals
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Results-driven with a focus on meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • Self-motivated, with a proactive and persistent approach to sales

Compensation and Benefits
  • Base salary: $60k; Commissions eligible (uncapped) with OTE of $110k
  • Competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance options at affordable rates
  • 401(k) plan with employer match
  • Flexible and casual work environment
  • Employee camping credit to encourage getting outdoors and experiencing our product!

We have a thriving sales office in downtown Denver. Candidates should apply if they work best in, and prefer, an energetic in-office setting focused on collaboration.
