Job description

Marina & Boat Storage Team Member

Join the team at Cotton Patch Landing! We're looking for a friendly, hard-working individual to fill a full or part-time role that blends the best of both worlds—working on the water as a Marina Dock Hand and assisting in moving boats in and out of our storage. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety in their day and likes working with people.

As a Marina & Campground Team Member, you'll assist boaters at the marina, help move boats in and out of storage, and support various day-to-day tasks across our waterfront campground. No two days are exactly the same, and you'll play a key role in creating a welcoming and enjoyable experience for all guests.

Responsibilities:

  • Use tractor to pull boats in and out of storage as well as launch and retrieval on the boat ramp.
  • Assist boaters with docking, fueling, and general marina operations
  • Provide friendly and efficient customer service to all guests
  • Help with general campground maintenance and landscaping duties
  • Support upkeep and cleanliness of marina, store, and campground grounds
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a professional appearance and attitude

Requirements:

  • Experience with boats and marinas required
  • Experience with boat trailers and tractors required
  • Comfortable interacting with guests and working outdoors
  • Ability to lift and move objects (such as kayak rentals or ice bags)
  • Must be available to work weekends and holidays
  • Must be at least 16 years old

Compensation:

  • $10-15 per hour plus tips. Tips are typically strong during summer months due to high visitor volume.
  • Potential for long-term, full-time employment if interested
