Job Description
Cape Fox Concentric Methods is accepting resumes for a Pharmacist to provide services to our members at the Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton, California.
The salary range for this exempt position has been established at: $163,000.00 to $168,000.00. This salary range represents the company's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. In addition, we offer a variety of benefits including company holidays, paid time off, health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, as well as 401K with company match. This job will be posted until filled or withdrawn.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform a full range of pharmacist procedures.
  • Deliver comprehensive pharmaceutical services within the personnel, supply, and equipment capabilities of the facility.
  • Counsel patients regarding appropriate use of medications.
  • Review patient profiles at the time of dispensing in order to closely monitor medication therapy.
  • Ensure prescription directions for use, dose, medication interactions, therapeutic duplications or overlaps, allergy information, age specific dosage, and other pertinent data are appropriate for individual patients. Intervention with providers shall be made for noted discrepancy of above listed items.
  • Compound medications as required.
  • Ensure accuracy of all pharmaceutical products prepared or processed by technical staff.
  • Supervise inventory control of all pharmaceuticals in the pharmacy, especially scheduled pharmaceuticals, and ensure pharmacy security. Maintain appropriate records and security of all scheduled controlled substances according to applicable regulations.
  • Develop individualized treatment regimens based on the pharmacokinetics of the drug(s) employed, the renal or hepatic status, or other pertinent patient-specific parameters. Adjust and/or recommend drug therapy(ies) by assessing available lab values.
  • Oversee preparation of extemporaneous compounds, intravenous, oral, and topical medications assuring there are no physical or chemical incompatibilities in these products.
  • Calculate patient-specific dilutions of medications, i.e., intravenous neonatal antibiotics, adult electrolyte infusions, and parenteral nutrition.
  • Follow established guidelines of the Command for handling potentially carcinogenic, mutagenic, and teratogenic drugs.
  • Ensure that work areas are clean and safe according to applicable regulations.

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in pharmacy.
  • Graduate from a college or university accredited by the Accreditation Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE).
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Pharmacist.
  • One year of professional pharmacy experience after graduation.
  • Must be a US Citizen and have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
