Job description

Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide one-to-one nursing care for a pediatric patient in the Oceanside area. This role begins part-time with a defined path to full-time hours. Active base access (or eligibility to obtain base access for Camp Pendleton) is required.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct, one-to-one nursing care to a pediatric patient per the physician-ordered plan of care
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
  • Monitor and document vital signs, symptoms, and changes in patient condition
  • Operate and monitor medical equipment as needed (e.g., feeding pumps, suction, oxygen)
  • Communicate effectively with the family, care team, and supervising RN
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Follow all infection control, safety, and HIPAA standards 
Schedule & Compensation
  • Schedule: Part-time initially, with transition to full-time based on patient needs and performance
  • Shifts: Days M-F

Requirements

  • Current, active California LVN license in good standing
  • Base access for Camp Pendleton 
  • Current BLS/CPR certification (AHA preferred)
  • Prior pediatric or private duty nursing experience preferred
  • Reliable transportation
  • Strong communication, documentation, and time-management skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with pediatric private duty / one-to-one care
