  • JOB DESCRIPTION DETAILS
    • Job Summary:
      • The cancer program coordinator is expected to support the clinical and administrative oncology teams and work collaboratively with the Director of Oncology Services to develop, organize, implement and monitor the accreditation activities of CalvertHealth and the affiliation activities with Duke Cancer Network. Manage multiple concurrent, collaborative initiatives and facilitate work groups.
    • Education:
      • Position requires from a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration or Public Health or a related discipline, Master's preferred.
    • Registration/Certification/Licensure:
    • Experience:
      • Position requires minimum of 5 years of leadership and project management experience. Experienced in managing multiple projects and working with diverse groups of people. Possesses a high degree of organizational skills and communication skills. Skillful at managing change. Able to delegate effectively and appropriately, prioritize and negotiate project demands and seek alternative solutions.
    • Other Requirements:
      • Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements.
      • Assist Director of Oncology Services with administrative tasks, including:
          • Maintain calendars, schedules, and appointments.
          • Prepare, update, amend, and maintain accreditation, regulatory, and compliance documentation.
          • Initiate and demonstrate string and effective verbal and written communication skills.
          • Exercise emotional intelligence, effective problem-solving techniques, and conflict resolution.
          • Coordinate meetings, conferences, events, and travel arrangements.
          • Prepare, distribute, and maintain agendas, meeting materials, and minutes.
          • Organize and maintain electronic and paper filing systems.
          • Ensure administrative requirements and processes are standardized and efficient.
          • Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
          • Draft professional communications, memos, and reports.
          • Initiate, facilitate, and document communication between teams, departments, leadership, and affiliates.
          • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions.
          • Track and document project timelines and deliverables.
          • Coordinate committee work, quality projects, and oncology special projects.
          • Support policy and procedure development and revisions
      • Effectively communicates with all patient populations and staff by implementing organization-wide communication techniques as a daily practice.
      • Effectively advocates for quality patient safety and satisfaction as a daily practice.
      • Demonstrated proficiency of computer skills necessary to effectively complete position requirements to include Microsoft Office applications with an emphasis on Excel, Access, Word and Outlook.
      • Ability to work independently, prioritize concurrent projects, meet deadlines, follow through with deliverables, and produce quality work.
