We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Food Service Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is vital in supporting the daily operations of our food service program. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in food preparation and team leadership in a fast paced service environment.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in food service or institutional food management involving the planning and preparation of food in large quantities.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills are preferred.
  • A Serve Safe certificate or ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire.


Responsibilities

Responsible for assisting in the organization, preparation, cooking, and serving of food to students and adults.


  • Food preparation and inventory.
  • Providing guidance and training to cafeteria workers including POS systems
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations related to food handling and sanitation standards.
  • Participating in breakfast and lunch service.
  • Record keeping.
  • Handling cash for registers and deposits.
  • Maintaining education hours.
  • Support training & development initiatives for staff to enhance skills and performance
