Food Service Manager
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 180 days
JOB GOAL: To serve the students attractive and nutritious meals in a
caring and clean environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assists in the preparation and serving of food in a quick and pleasant manner.
2. Assumes responsibility for ensuring that during meal service periods the supply of food
offered is replenished regularly and the serving line is cleaned between lunch periods.
3. Assist in the daily clean up of the kitchen and service areas.
4. Helps check in, rotate and put away stock.
5. Able to lift up to 40lbs.
6. Turn in food orders to manager.
7. You may be asked to learn how to run the computer.
8. Perform major cleaning of refrigerators, ovens, store room and serving lines as scheduled by
the manager.
9. Wipes dining room tables and chairs.
10. Helps with special functions when necessary.
11. If running the computer, you will balance out your money drawer.
12. Attend staff meeting at the beginning of the school year.
13. Start to work one day before school to open up the kitchen and put away first food order.
14. Performs additional duties as needed or assigned.
