Our Senior Consultants come with a wide variety of experience leveraging their technical expertise to help our clients enhance their EHR platform to improve care delivery, patient outcomes and profitability.
As an Epic Cadence and Decision Tree Consultant you will:
  • Support the design, development, and implementation of operational decision trees for a large healthcare organization. This role will serve as a critical bridge between operations and technical teams-ensuring decision trees are both strategically designed and effectively built for deployment.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to the design team, providing guidance on how and where to incorporate operational needs into decision tree frameworks
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business and operational requirements into clear decision logic
  • Design and develop decision tree templates aligned with organizational standards and guiding principles
  • Build and configure decision trees based on existing designs
  • Ensure accuracy, usability, and scalability of decision trees for operational use
  • Partner with IT teams to ensure proper implementation, recognizing that development teams may execute builds without providing design input
  • Continuously improve decision tree structures and templates to enhance efficiency and user experience

Requirements:
  • Epic Cadence or Decision tree certification, additional Epic certifications a plus
  • Proven experience designing and building decision trees, workflows, or logic-based systems
  • Strong ability to translate operational requirements into structured decision logic
  • Ability to work in both advisory (strategic) and hands-on (build/development) capacities
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience implementing Epic systems in hospitals and health systems
  • Willingness and ability to travel when necessary, however, at times you are required to provide high-level services remotely
  • Current permanent U.S. Work authorization required

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in healthcare or complex operational environments
  • Familiarity with workflow automation or decision support systems
  • Background working with cross-functional teams including IT, operations, and design

The estimated base hourly rate range for this job will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel. The job is also eligible to participate in Huron's benefit plans, which include medical, dental and vision coverage, and other wellness programs. The rate range of information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future.
