Job description

Summary of Position:

The Product Stocker is responsible for providing production support to the Manufacturing operation.

Position Accountabilities:Assists with packaging items that have been completed and inspected.

  • Assists with production changeovers by removing items that are not being used and replacing with correct items.
  • Assists with the inspection of products for quality assurance.Breaks down and discards empty boxes.
  • Stocks employee workstations with correct quantities and types of materials. Checks and stocks workstations independently before employees run out of items.
  • Returns unused stock and supplies to proper area for storage and ensures that workstations are clean, safe, organized, and stocked for the next workday.
  • Breaks down and discards empty boxes.
  • Performs other tasks, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to multi-task
  • Ability to work independently and with other team members.
  • Ability to navigate independently to and from workstation, bathrooms and break area.
  • Must be able to enter the building and navigate to workstation independently.

Physical Demands:

  • Some vision is needed (1) to operate pallet jack and (2) for the inspection of products.
  • Must be able to regularly lift up to 60 lbs independently.
  • Must be able to continually move between workstations and pallets in storage area.
  • Must be able to walk, bend, twist and reach in all directions.
  • Must have the ability to utilize two hands.

Work Environment:

  • Light industrial indoor manufacturing environment with minimal exposure to noise or other occupational hazards.
  • In accordance with CABVI's Safety Program and OSHA's standards for the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):
  • Safety glasses are to be worn while on the production floor, where applicable
  • Steel toe or composite toe shoes are to be worn while on the production floor, this includes all areas.
