The Senior Epic Data Analyst serves as a technical and strategic expert within the Data & Analytics team, responsible for designing, developing, optimizing, and governing enterprise analytics solutions leveraging the Epic Cogito suite. This role leads the development of complex reports, dashboards, and data extracts across Clarity, Caboodle, Radar, Reporting Workbench (RWB), and SlicerDicer to support clinical, operational, financial, and executive decisionmaking.
This role serves as a subject matter expert (SME) in Epic's analytics ecosystem, including Clarity, Caboodle, SlicerDicer, Radar, and Reporting Workbench (RWB), and partners closely with clinical, operational, financial, and executive stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable insights. This role is critical to scaling our data and insights capabilities, empowering teams with actionable insights, and supporting our mission to improve Patient healthcare.
Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a consultative analytics partner by translating complex business requirements into technical specifications and actionable reporting solutions working closely with product managers, data scientists, BI developers, and application teams.
  • Lead requirements-gathering sessions, manage analytics project lifecycles, and present insights to executive and operational stakeholders.
  • Provide mentorship to junior analysts and contribute to the development of reporting standards and best practices.
  • Promote data governance, report standardization, and data integrity across the enterprise.
  • Conduct data validation, reconciliation, and performance optimization activities.
  • Participate in Epic upgrades, assess reporting impacts, and ensure continued alignment with organizational data strategy and compliance standards, including HIPAA and data security requirements.
  • Design and implement of rules driven data quality components that supports enhanced observability, transparency, and robust remediation workflows, enabling rapid identification and resolution of data issues

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 10+ years of rich experience hands-on experience with the Epic Cogito stack - Clarity, Caboodle
  • Advanced experience writing complex SQL queries in Clarity and/or Caboodle.
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Epic Clarity data model and relational structures
  • ADT workflows
  • Orders & Results
  • Clinical Documentation (ClinDoc)
  • Ancillary modules
  • Revenue Cycle data structures
  • Experience with reporting tools like Business Objects and Power BI would be a plus.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Health Informatics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, Data Analytics, or related field required.
  • Epic Cogito Certification (Clarity, Caboodle) - Required
  • Additional Epic certifications (Clinical, Revenue Cycle, Access, etc.) preferred.
