Entry-Level Structured Cabling Technician

Location: Columbus, OH

Schedule: Monday-Saturday | 1st & 2nd Shift Available | Overtime Available

Are you looking to break into the telecommunications, low-voltage, or data center industry? We are seeking motivated Entry-Level Structured Cabling Technicians to join a growing team supporting large-scale technology infrastructure projects in the Columbus area.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with construction, warehouse, installation, or hands-on labor experience who want to develop in-demand technical skills. You'll work alongside experienced technicians while learning structured cabling installation, copper and fiber infrastructure, cable testing, and industry best practices.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Pull, route, and install Cat5e and Cat6 cabling according to industry standards
  • Dress, organize, and label cables for proper identification and documentation
  • Assist with RJ45 connector terminations and patch panel installations
  • Learn and perform telecom block punch-downs
  • Support cable testing and troubleshooting using tools such as Fluke and EXFO testers
  • Gain exposure to fiber optic cable handling and cable management techniques
  • Follow all job site safety requirements and maintain a clean work area
  • Work closely with senior technicians and supervisors to complete projects on schedule
  • Learn industry best practices for structured cabling and telecommunications systems

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.
