Job Title: Cable Technician
Location: Odessa, TX 79763
Duration: 6+ Months
Pay Rate: $20.00 - $23.00/hr on W2
Shift: 6:00 AM โ€“ 6:00 PM | 11 Days On / 3 Days Off

Job Summary
The Cable Technician is responsible for building, repairing, testing, splicing, and spooling Electrical Submersible Pump (ESP) cables used in oilfield operations. This is a hands-on role requiring strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build, splice, repair, and spool ESP cables.
  • Perform high-voltage testing and inspections on cable assemblies.
  • Complete testing and quality documentation accurately.
  • Troubleshoot basic electrical and cable-related issues.
  • Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Requirements
  • Basic electrical or mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive hand-intensive work.
