Job description

Eaton's ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Cable Tray Fabrication Operator- 3rd Shift. The hourly rate for this position is $22.71/hour + $1.20/hour shift differential per hour.
Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
What you'll do:
  • Set up, understand, and safely & proficiently operate fabrication equipment.
  • Troubleshoot various and appropriate machine problems.
  • ID and tag shop orders with product. Retrieve/enter data into system.
  • Ensure quality and proper documentation on all parts.
  • Maintain components and supplies as required to operate efficiently.
  • Fabricate based on print specifications.
  • Perform daily 5S & participate in Continuous Improvement activities.
  • Rotate to various machines as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Basic (Required) Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of Sherman, TX will be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Solid math skills; analytical and reasoning skills.
  • Able to read, interpret blueprints, and use simple measuring tools.

Position Criteria:
  • Ability to stand for the duration of the shift (eight to twelve hours) and perform repetitious tasks.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. alone occasionally to frequently, and up to 100 lbs. with assistance occasionally by stooping, reaching, bending.
  • Requires PPE to include safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, leather gloves, and hearing protection.
  • Environment exposure includes sharp objects, pinch points, oil, sparks.
