We are currently seeking an experienced Construction Manager on behalf of one of our clients to lead structured cabling and low-voltage construction on a large-scale hyperscale data center project.

This is a senior field leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys owning project execution, leading large teams, and delivering world-class mission-critical infrastructure safely, efficiently, and with exceptional quality.

Construction Manager

The Construction Manager is responsible for the successful execution of structured cabling and low-voltage construction activities from project kickoff through commissioning and closeout. This role provides day-to-day leadership of field operations while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with client specifications and industry standards.

Working closely with Project Managers, Project Engineers, Superintendents, QA/QC personnel, subcontractors, and customers, the Construction Manager serves as the onsite leader responsible for coordinating labor, managing installation quality, resolving field challenges, and driving successful project outcomes.

Position Details
  • Exempt Salaried Position (Compensation based on experience)
    • If residing outside of 100 miles, additional travel allowances may be included. 
  • Location: Rayville, Louisiana
  • Daily onsite presence required
  • Travel: Up to 15%
  • Direct supervision of field personnel
Key ResponsibilitiesSafety Leadership
  • Champion a culture where safety is the highest priority.
  • Ensure compliance with all company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and client site procedures.
  • Lead daily safety planning, inspections, and incident prevention initiatives.
  • Support incident investigations and continuous safety improvement efforts.
Construction Leadership
  • Lead all onsite construction activities from mobilization through project completion.
  • Develop installation strategies, sequencing plans, and site logistics.
  • Maintain project schedules, labor forecasts, and production tracking.
  • Coordinate daily activities with Project Management, Procurement, QA/QC, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure projects remain on schedule while maintaining productivity and quality expectations.
Technical Leadership

Serve as the onsite subject matter expert for:

  • Structured Cabling Systems
  • Fiber Optic Infrastructure
  • Low Voltage Systems
  • Telecommunications Installations
  • Mission Critical Construction

Responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing construction drawings and specifications
  • Resolving field conflicts and constructability issues
  • Managing RFIs and technical clarifications
  • Supporting commissioning and system validation
  • Overseeing fiber testing including OTDR and power meter validation
  • Ensuring compliance with ANSI/TIA, BICSI, NEBS, and customer standards
Team Leadership
  • Lead, mentor, and develop field personnel and supervisory staff.
  • Manage large field teams consisting of 100+ technicians.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and coaching.
  • Assist with hiring, workforce planning, and employee development.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, craftsmanship, and continuous improvement.
Client & Stakeholder Management
  • Serve as the primary onsite construction representative for the client.
  • Participate in project meetings, site walks, milestone reviews, and technical discussions.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
  • Resolve field issues proactively to minimize schedule impacts.
Quality & Project Delivery
  • Partner closely with QA/QC teams throughout construction.
  • Ensure all installations meet project specifications and quality standards.
  • Monitor commissioning readiness and project closeout activities.
  • Support documentation, turnover packages, and customer acceptance.
QualificationsRequired
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive supervisory experience supporting structured cabling, telecommunications infrastructure, or mission-critical construction projects.
  • Experience leading large field teams of 100+ personnel.
  • Strong understanding of low-voltage construction and structured cabling systems.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and project documentation.
  • Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and field crews simultaneously.
