Project Coordinator - Fiber Construction

Location: (North Florida) Orlando and Jacksonville, FL

Buckley Cable Construction is seeking an organized and motivated Project Coordinator to support our growing fiber optic construction operations in the Orlando and Jacksonville markets.

The Project Coordinator plays a key role in supporting Project Managers and field operations by coordinating project documentation, tracking progress, communicating with customers and field personnel, and helping ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

The ideal candidate has experience supporting telecommunications, fiber optic, or Outside Plant (OSP) construction projects and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do
  • Support Project Managers throughout the life of multiple fiber construction projects.
  • Coordinate project documentation, work orders, permits, and closeout packages.
  • Track project schedules, milestones, and production.
  • Communicate with field crews, subcontractors, customers, and internal departments.
  • Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and project documentation.
  • Maintain accurate project records and ensure documentation is complete.
  • Assist with customer requests and project updates.
  • Help identify scheduling conflicts and administrative issues before they impact production.
  • Perform general administrative duties to support daily operations.
QualificationsRequired
  • Minimum of 1 year of project coordination, administrative, or office support experience.
  • Experience supporting fiber optic, telecommunications, or Outside Plant (OSP) construction projects.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
Preferred
  • Experience supporting aerial and/or underground fiber construction projects.
  • Experience working for a telecommunications contractor.
  • Familiarity with permitting, utility construction, or broadband deployment.
  • Experience with project management or construction management software.
  • Knowledge of customer reporting requirements and project documentation.
