Job description

The Court Surfacing Project Manager is responsible for managing all phases of sports court surfacing operations, from project mobilization through final client acceptance. This role oversees scheduling, field operations, quality control, crew leadership, material management, equipment readiness, and customer satisfaction while ensuring every project meets the company's high standards for workmanship and safety. Must be fluent in Spanish.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate daily court surfacing operations across multiple job sites.
  • Manage project timelines, labor resources, and production schedules.
  • Coordinate preparation, surfacing, and striping crews to maximize productivity.
  • Ensure projects are completed according to contract specifications and project schedules.
  • Perform final inspections before client turnover.

Quality Control

  • Verify proper surface preparation, including crack repair, patching, leveling, and cleaning.
  • Oversee the application of acrylic coatings, textures, color systems, and court striping.
  • Monitor weather conditions, material mixing ratios, cure times, and installation procedures.
  • Resolve punch-list items and warranty concerns promptly while maintaining exceptional workmanship standards.

Crew Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and motivate field crews to meet productivity, quality, and safety expectations.
  • Train new employees on Armor Courts' installation methods and quality standards.
  • Conduct ongoing coaching and retraining as necessary.
  • Promote professionalism, teamwork, and accountability on every job site.

Materials & Equipment Management

  • Monitor daily material usage and reduce waste.
  • Verify accurate material deliveries and inventory for each project.
  • Ensure equipment is properly maintained and ready for daily operations.
  • Coordinate repairs and maintenance when necessary.

Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce OSHA safety standards and company safety policies.
  • Identify and eliminate job site hazards.
  • Maintain organized, clean, and professional work environments.
  • Ensure all work complies with project specifications and applicable safety regulations.

Communication

  • Provide daily progress reports to management.
  • Communicate schedule changes, delays, weather impacts, and project concerns proactively.
  • Serve as the primary on-site representative for clients, inspectors, and general contractors when required.
