Marriott Syracuse Downtown seeks Cook II who will lead the work of the kitchen in assisting the Sous chef and or Executive Sous Chef in preparing, cooking and supporting the kitchen staff.

Here is what you will be doing each day as a Cook II:

  • Inspects, selects and uses food items of the highest quality in the preparation of all menu items
  • Ensure food to order items for customers/guests are in a timely and consistent manner.
  • Prepare food of consistent quality following recipe cards and production and portion standards, per check from servers.
  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes quality standards, presentation standards and food preparation checklist. Date all food containers and rotate.
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
