General Purpose of Job:
The C Programmer/Analyst primary duties include creating and modifying programs and writing code in an Open VMS RMS data environment using VMS to generate reports, screen routines, rating, auto coding, accounting functions, statistics and client project completion. The position will perform systems analysis.
Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
• Create, analyze and test all of Trans International programs
• Other hardware, software and network adjustments as required
• Load, analyze, research and test data from and to our internal system
• Work with internal and external clients to create and modify programs to fit needs of client for project or regular use.
• Manage systems in regard to maintaining maximum uptimes for internal and external clients.
• Resolve very complex, non-recurring and unique problems as it relates to the systems and at times equipment of Trans International.
• In coordination with Autorater Admin, monitor and maintain client autorater needs through special program review and implementation.
To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Previous Work Experience:
Normally two to three years of previous work experience is required to meet job standards.
Education or Experience:
This position must possess an Associate degree from a 2-year college or technical school or three to five years of previous work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language and Communication Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents, periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. This position must write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. The employee will present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills:
This position will work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. The employee will apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical solutions.
Reasoning Ability:
This position will define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. The employee will interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
