What Are Jobs at a Horse Stable?

Horse stable jobs include just a few positions, usually with a name like stable attendant or stable hand. In this field, you feed, groom, clean, and care for horses daily. Horse stable jobs often involve supporting equine programs, cleaning stalls, boarding horses for their owners, and working both inside and outside a barn. Most horse stable jobs emphasize physical work, and you may be asked to reach, bend, push, pull, twist, or climb regularly. Depending on the position, you may also be asked to lift up to 75 pounds. Some horse stable jobs involve riding horses, but this isn't a universal part of the job. If you do want to ride them, make sure to read each job description carefully because that is usually not advertised in the titles.
