Essential Functions and Responsibilities

The IT Manager leads the organization's technology operations, infrastructure, systems administration, cybersecurity, and end-user support functions. This role is responsible for ensuring technology systems are secure, reliable, and aligned with business objectives while providing leadership to the IT team and managing technology projects and vendor relationships. Partners closely with the Executive Vice President of People & Culture to align technology strategy, infrastructure, and resources with organizational goals, ensuring scalable solutions that support company growth, operational excellence, and long-term success.

Essential Duties

IT Operations & Support

  • Lead and oversee internal help desk operations, ensuring timely and effective support.
  • Manage end-user hardware, software, and technology resources. *
  • Develop and maintain IT procedures, documentation, and service standards.
  • Monitor and improve system performance, reliability, and user experience.
  • Document standard operating procedures.

Infrastructure & Systems Administration

  • Administer and support Windows, virtual environments (vSphere, ESXi), desktops, and laptops. *
  • Manage Microsoft 365 and other cloud-based services. *
  • Oversee storage systems, backup solutions, and disaster recovery processes. *
  • Ensure timely software updates, patching, and system maintenance.
  • Oversee property software system operations. *

Network & Communications

  • Manage and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including switches, routers, wireless networks, VPNs, and firewalls. *
  • Support and maintain VoIP and SIP communication systems.
  • Ensure network security, availability, and performance. *

Cybersecurity & Risk Management

  • Serve as the primary lead for IT security operations. *
  • Implement security controls, monitoring processes, and incident response procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and technology best practices.*
  • Evaluate and mitigate technology risks across systems and networks.

Project & Vendor Management

  • Lead technology implementations, upgrades, and business technology initiatives. *
  • Evaluate and recommend technology solutions to support organizational goals.
  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and on-site service providers.
  • Stay informed on emerging technologies and industry trends. *

Leadership & Team Development

  • Hire, coach, develop, and supervise IT and software support staff. *
  • Manage scheduling, performance management, and workforce planning. *
  • Foster a customer-focused, service-oriented IT culture.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to identify and implement business solutions. *

Qualifications and Physical Demands

Education and/or Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum five (5) years of progressive IT experience, including systems, network, cloud, and help desk administration.
  • Minimum three (3) years of leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Equivalent combinations of education, certifications, and experience may be considered.
  • Experience managing enterprise networking and next-generation firewall technologies.
