The Opportunity

Join our Member Value team as aBusiness Strategy Analyst Lead. This role is instrumental in understanding and defining lifecycle stages and transitions for our members. You will analyze member behavior across the entire lifecycle from initial joining to first product acquisition to product deepening.You will collaborate closely with business leaders to translate strategic vision into actionable plans across the member lifecycle.

This role is remote eligible in the continental U.S. with occasional business travel. However, individuals residing within a 60-mile radius of a USAA office will be expected to work on-site 4 days per week.

Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

What you'll do:

  • Define and research the various stages of a member's lifecycle.
  • Synthesize various data sources to stitch a member's journey within and across each different lifecycle.
  • Align on KPIs and milestones for progression through member lifecycle.
  • Leads discussions with key stakeholders to communicate information learned from analyses, provide input into line of business strategy development, and drive and influence business decisions. Leads integration of the analytic strategy and business strategy.
  • Collaborates with key stakeholders across the Member Value organization to understand pain points across the member lifecycle and evaluate and uncover complex or critical strategic insights related to Profit & Loss performance including Product Strategy, Pricing, Marketing, Sales, Fraud, Credit Risk, Distribution Channels, and Member Experience.
  • Track member cohorts, while incorporating member lifetime value and churn, to drive key strategies.
  • Applies expert analytical rigor to define outcome measures, improve prioritization, increase agility in decisioning, improve ability to evaluate progress towards business outcomes, and to evaluate risks to strategic goals.
  • Effectively influences and drives strategic agreement utilizing subject matter expertise and interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Guide and implement A/B or multivariate testing to measure lifecycle progression.
  • Serves as a team lead and provides guidance and on-the-job training to team members.

What you have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Science, Finance, Economics or related discipline; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • 8 years of data and/or analytics or strategy consulting experience; OR a minimum of 6 years of data and/or analytics or strategy consulting experience and up to 2 years of progressive functional business relevant experience for a total of 8 years of combined experience; OR Advanced Degree in Business, Science, Finance, Economics or related discipline and 6 years of experience in data and/or analytics or strategy consulting.
  • Experience identifying business needs and querying large data sets from different sources to synthesize into concise insights.
  • Experience working with leadership teams to identify key opportunities to develop and enhance business strategy using quantitative and qualitative analytics.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using hypotheses-driven problem solving.
  • Extensive experience leading and performing complex data analysis using various data analytics tools (i.e. Tableau, R, Python, SQL, Snowflake, Adobe Analytics).

Compensation range: The salary range for this position is: $127,310 - $243,340.

Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location.

Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
