Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for a Business Operations Manager (Manager, Project Management 3) for the Airborne Multifunction Sensors (AMS) Manufacturing (MFG) in the MS Sector Manufacturing organization reporting directly to the VP; serving as a Chief of Staff, ensuring all aspects of AMS Manufacturing are effective and efficient. This position will be in Baltimore, MD. The selected candidate will be a member of the AMS MFG leadership Team and work directly with the VP and AMS MFG leadership team to organize and facilitate day-to-day operational aspects and lead executive engagements for the VP and the leadership team.

Duties and responsibilities include: Drives execution of strategic initiatives and tasks initiated by the Vice President of AMS MFG by working with cross-functional teams and business leaders across manufacturing Establishes and strategically reviews the operating rhythm for AMS MFG organization Establishes agenda and coordinates preparation for meetings and to support work products for manufacturing meetings Coordinates data calls from sector and corporate Prepares and manages content development and monthly reporting of the Sector Operating Objectives (SOOs) and non-financial metrics. Is the focal point for communication and collaboration for the division and manufacturing team Facilitates engagements and reviews with sector and division operations Shadows the Vice President in major meetings and events, reviewing the agenda and the pre- and post-interactions to ensure successful outcomes. Anticipates and manages the materials, data and presentation needs for upcoming meetings and events, including Corporate and Sector ELT.

Plays a key role in preparation for and coordination of all hands, team off-sites, team engagement events in partnership with relevant parties. Partners with Communications to ensure the leadership is prepared for all speaking engagements Establish and maintains AMS MFG SharePoint and teams sites. Tracks actions, notes, status, from team reviews and meetings Plans, coordinates, and supports AMS MFG Vice President travel to MS sites.

Project lead for internal special projects as requested to include activities such as: establishing and leading a cross-functional team, developing and monitoring objectives, briefing Manufacturing Vice President, and senior leaders, and facilitating broader communication across organizations employees as appropriate. The Ideal Candidate will: Be able to operate effectively in an ambiguous environment; identify and proactively determine the best ways to address issues or tasks without specific direction Possess a strategic mindset; identify areas for improvement within the division and bridge gaps between functions to drive implementation of improvements Think ahead to anticipate potential challenges, ensuring they are addressed in advance or providing recommended options to leadership when necessary Collaborate well with leadership teams and possess the ability to influence without direct authority to produce results/outcomes Have the ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks and projects within critical deadlines Possess strong data analytic capability and attention to detail and accuracy Have excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills, as well as project management, analytical, planning, and presentation skills Be able to build and foster effective relationships with others, including ability to interact effectively with senior level management Have the ability to respect confidentiality and safeguard sensitive information Be able to understand detailed program financial performance; strong problem solving and analytical skills Be able to make recommendations and provide guidance to effectively bring projects to completion Basic Qualifications for the Business Operations Manager: Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 10 years of related experience and minimum of 7 years project management experience Highly advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint experience. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
