As a Business Intelligence Analyst in our Melbourne Headquarters location, you'll be responsible for providing critical management dynamic dashboards, reporting, and predictive data analysis for business units within the organization. You will collaborate with internal and external resources to ensure timely availability and integrity of data and to create meaningful reports/reporting tools. You will analyze reporting results against established metrics and identify anomalies and trends. You will assist in developing metrics, forecasting, and supporting business initiatives.

Business Intelligence Analyst Duties and Responsibilities Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Creates business intelligence reporting, dashboards, data visualizations, data mining, and predictive models developed per use specifications to help drive strategic decision making and to measure improvements in all key performance indicators and operational metrics.
  • Develops and analyzes meaningful periodic and ad-hoc reports by extracting data from a variety of database systems used in all aspects of business operations.
  • Develops interactive and dynamic dashboards and data visualizations to promote end user self-service for data analysis needed.
  • Develops databases for gathering statistics that are currently handled manually. Works with IT or external vendors to automate functionality when possible to improve the efficiency in gathering and disseminating data and reports to business units.
  • Interfaces with managers, verbally and in writing, to understand the business needs and develops/updates reporting based on changing business environment.
  • Assists in the development of metrics as well as the forecasting of sales trends and expenses related to loan origination for budget purposes, and in tracking and forecasting product profitability and pricing.
  • Verifies data integrity on data analysis and logic. Identifies issues with data integrity and works collaboratively with data owners to resolve.
  • Prepares financial, regulatory, and Board/Committee Level reporting as needed.
  • Evaluates economic, market, and competitor trends to provide additional context to reports and recommendations.
Business Intelligence Analyst Qualifications Education and Training
  • 4 year Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information technology, finance, mathematics, or other related field required or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Prior Experience
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ similar or related experience required, knowledge of predictive analytics, reporting/analysis, and Microsoft SQL Server and/or Oracle database experience in an enterprise environment is preferred. Equivalent coursework may be given consideration, but experience as described above is preferred.

  • Starting Compensation: $99,000 - $104,850 annually
  • Bonus Opportunity: Eligible for ONE SCCU Annual Bonus
  • Hybrid (2 days onsite)
