Product Owner (nCino) - Contract Role
Locations: Charlotte, NC; Irving, TX; Minneapolis, MN; Chandler, AZ
Type: Contract (Hiring 3 positions)
About the Role
We are seeking experienced Product Owners with strong consulting backgrounds and a proven record of success leading large-scale financial system implementations. In this role, you will define product vision, own epics and features, and guide user story development throughout the delivery lifecycle. You'll collaborate closely with engineering, design, and business teams, while also serving as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders.
This position requires deep experience with nCino (mandatory), exceptional communication skills, and the ability to lead discovery efforts and support future client onboarding.
What You'll Do
Product Ownership & Delivery
  • Own and manage end-to-end delivery of product epics, features, and user stories.
  • Prioritize and maintain a well-defined product backlog aligned with business objectives.
  • Partner with engineering, design, QA, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality product increments.
  • Define acceptance criteria and ensure deliverables meet business, technical, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead sprint planning, backlog refinement, and participate in Agile ceremonies.
Consulting & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Serve as a strategic advisor, translating complex business challenges into clear product capabilities.
  • Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, and solution-scoping conversations with clients.
  • Communicate product roadmaps, design decisions, and implementation strategies to internal and external teams.
Financial Systems & nCino Expertise
  • Lead product strategy and solution design across financial services workflows (lending, onboarding, credit, operations).
  • Leverage hands-on expertise with nCino configurations, capabilities, and feature enhancements.
  • Collaborate with functional and technical teams to optimize and implement nCino solutions.
Client Onboarding & Future Growth
  • Support upcoming client onboarding initiatives, including requirement assessment and implementation planning.
  • Develop scalable playbooks, frameworks, and best practices to streamline future onboarding activities.
  • Work closely with customer success teams to promote adoption of new features and product releases.
Required Qualifications
  • 5-10+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role.
  • Strong consulting background with experience in large-scale financial system implementations.
  • nCino experience is required (certifications preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to write high-quality epics, features, and user stories.
  • Solid understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban).
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced environments and managing competing priorities.
