Location: Charlotte, NC
Work Arrangement: Hybrid, minimum 3 days onsite weekly
Contract Length: 12 months, with possible extension and conversion
Pay Rate: $51/hr - $54/hr

Job Summary
In this contingent resource assignment, you will participate in moderately complex Business Execution initiatives supporting Market and Counterparty Regulatory Reporting. This role sits at the intersection of risk analysis, data management, and technology delivery. The consultant will evaluate current regulatory reporting and stress-testing processes, identify manual dependencies and control gaps, design scalable automation approaches, and partner with technology teams to deliver production-ready solutions. The position supports accurate, timely, auditable, and regulator-aligned reporting while improving operational efficiency and reducing risk.
Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with Market Risk and Counterparty Risk subject-matter experts.
  • Document current-state workflows, controls, data sourcing, transformations, and dependencies.
  • Analyze manual touchpoints, reconciliation gaps, data lineage issues, and reporting control gaps.
  • Develop recommendations for standardization and automation.
  • Translate business processes into scalable technical designs, including data pipelines, aggregation logic, and reporting layers.
  • Evaluate modernization of legacy SQL processes into Java-based application frameworks.
  • Document requirements in Jira using epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Support the full delivery lifecycle from design to production deployment within Agile or hybrid models.
  • Work with large relational datasets and regulatory reporting tables.
  • Evaluate AI and GenAI opportunities for documentation, reconciliation, and anomaly detection.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 4+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education.
Technical Skills:
  • Advanced SQL development, including complex queries, stored procedures, and performance optimization.
  • Java enterprise application and batch-processing experience, preferably with Spring Boot or Spring Batch.
  • Strong understanding of data architecture, ETL, data pipeline development, and scalable processing frameworks.
  • Experience supporting Market Risk, Counterparty Risk, or regulatory reporting.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into Jira epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Preferred Qualifications
  • FR Y-14Q, CCAR, or Basel regulatory reporting experience.
  • Stress testing and risk aggregation experience.
  • Financial services or banking experience.
  • Power BI or Tableau experience.
  • Experience with AI/GenAI applications for reconciliation, documentation, or anomaly detection.
  • Distributed processing framework experience.
