Overview
QBE, LLC is seeking a UC/Voice Engineer to support the US Army Comprehensive Modernization (COMPMOD) program. The program delivers end-to-end EFIS&T services, including survey and design through installation, security, and testing. This work spans NIPR and SIPR networks, Wi-Fi, VoIP, ISP/OSP infrastructure, and voice modernization across Army installations.
We are seeking a UC/Voice Engineer to support voice and unified communications efforts across enterprise environments. The role supports planning, implementation, sustainment, and troubleshooting of voice services used in support of modernization activities.
The ideal candidate brings a solid technical foundation in voice technologies and can work effectively with network, systems, cybersecurity, and field teams. Public role descriptions for similar positions commonly reference VoIP administration, dial plans, SIP-based services, endpoint support, and day-to-day operational troubleshooting.

Responsibilities
โ€ข Support implementation and maintenance of voice and unified communications solutions
โ€ข Assist with administration of voice platforms, voicemail, conferencing, and related services
โ€ข Support configuration and troubleshooting of dial plans, call routing, gateways, and SIP-based services
โ€ข Help test, validate, and document new or updated voice capabilities
โ€ข Work with network and systems teams to resolve service issues and support changes
โ€ข Maintain technical documentation, diagrams, and as-built records
โ€ข Support user and site issues involving phones, softphones, conference systems, and associated devices
โ€ข Assist with migration and modernization efforts as legacy voice services are updated
Requirements
Required Experience/Qualifications
โ€ข BA/BS in a technical discipline (or additional 4+ years of relevant experience can be substituted in lieu of bachelor's degree)
โ€ข 10+ years relevant experience (e.g., enterprise voice, telephony, or unified communications environments)
โ€ข Ability to work onsite and coordinate with technical teams and stakeholders
Special Requirements/Security Clearance
โ€ข Active Secret Clearance
โ€ข Up to 50-75% travel required, including multi-week TDY assignments.
โ€ข Availability during defined cutover windows (e.g. weekend and nights)
Preferred Experience/Qualifications
โ€ข Experience with Cisco collaboration or similar voice technologies
โ€ข Experience in a DoD, Army, or other federal environment
โ€ข Familiarity with secure network environments and configuration standards
โ€ข Relevant technical certifications such as Security+ or Cisco certifications
Physical Demands
โ€ข Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
