About LiveU

LiveU is the global leader in live IP-video contribution and remote production, trusted by broadcasters, sports leagues, and mission-critical organizations in more than 150 countries. Our bonded-cellular and IP transport technology delivers reliable, high-quality video from anywhere in the world — making us the platform of choice for organizations that cannot afford for the signal to drop.

Public Safety, Defense, and Government customers are one of our fastest-growing verticals. Police departments, fire agencies, emergency management teams, federal agencies, and critical-infrastructure operators use LiveU every day to stream live video from vehicles, drones, command vehicles, and incident scenes — giving commanders real situational awareness when it matters most.

About the Role

We are hiring a Business Development Public Sector / Public Safety to own part of LiveU’s growth across U.S. Public Safety, Homeland Security, Department of War, Federal civilian agencies, utilities, and critical-infrastructure customers. This is a hybrid sales + business development role: you will carry a direct sales quota and close opportunities yourself, while also building the long-term channel, partner, and market-development strategy that scales the vertical beyond what any single seller can do alone.

You will be equally comfortable standing in front of a Chief of Police or Utilities Director or Federal program manager, co-selling with a channel partner, working as a pilot through procurement, and pulling in Product and Sales Engineering to close a deal. You will report to the VP of Sales, Growth Engines Americas, and work closely with Marketing, Channel, Sales Engineering, and Product.

What You’ll Do

Direct Sales & Quota Ownership

•   Carry and deliver an individual annual sales quota for the Public Safety / Public Sector vertical, with a clear target for new-logo acquisition and expansion revenue.

•   Personally own and close strategic, high-value opportunities with agencies, departments, and federal customers — from first meeting through procurement, contract, and deployment.

•   Always build and maintain a qualified sales pipeline of at least $3–4M in active opportunities, with accurate weekly forecasting in CRM.

•   Run structured discovery, solution demonstrations, pricing, and commercial negotiation — engaging with end users, procurement, legal, and executive sponsors.

•   Work with Technical Lead and Sales engineering to oversee evaluations, POCs, and demo equipment, focusing on the qualification and business side of these opportunities

Business Development & Market Expansion

•   Develop and execute the go-to-market strategy for Public Safety: local, state and Federal as well as utilities, and critical infrastructure.

•   Identify, prioritize, and open new growth segments and use cases — including drone/UAS operations, Real-Time Crime Centers, body-worn streaming, mobile command, and interoperable communications.

•   Build the near-, mid-, and long-term strategy and forecast for the vertical in partnership with the Americas leadership team.

•   Represent LiveU at industry events, conferences, and customer briefings (APCO, Commercial UAV Expo, Drone Responders, Energy Drone & Robotics Summit, GeoWeek, IACP, iHEEP, and similar).

Customer Success & Cross-Functional Leadership

•   Build and maintain trusted relationships with key customers across the full lifecycle — pre-sales, deployment, and post-sales expansion.

•   Work closely with Sales Engineering to identify valid users, capability gaps, and to develop and deploy both “off-the-shelf” and purpose-built solutions for the vertical.

•   Bring industry and technology relationships to bear for product testing, field evaluation, and roadmap input.

•   Advise on and help shape sales strategy, marketing strategy, pricing strategy, training programs, and customer-facing content for the Public Safety vertical.

Requirements:

Required Qualifications

•   5-7 years of quota-carrying sales and/or business development experience, with a clear track record of closing six- and seven-figure deals in Public Safety, Federal, DoW, or adjacent mission-critical markets.

•   Demonstrated ability to run the full sales cycle as an individual contributor — prospecting, qualification, demo, proposal, procurement, and close.

•   Deep working knowledge of how U.S. Public Safety and government customers buy: cooperative contracts, GSA, sole-source justifications, grants, and pilot-to-production paths.

•   Experience selling through and with channel partners, system integrators, and technology partners — including partner recruitment and enablement.

•   Strong executive presence and a history of building relationships with Chiefs, Sheriffs, CIOs, program managers, and senior federal decision-makers.

•   Excellent forecasting discipline and CRM hygiene (Salesforce or equivalent).

•   Ability to travel up to 50% and eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

•   Experience selling video, streaming, UAS/drone, situational-awareness, LMR, or communications solutions into Public Safety or DoD.

•   Prior military, law enforcement, fire service, or federal background, or direct experience working alongside those communities.

•   Existing network across IACP, APCO, NSA (National Sheriffs’ Association), state-level associations, or federal program offices.

•   Familiarity with FirstNet, FedRAMP, CJIS, and other compliance frameworks relevant to Public Safety customers.

•   Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Why LiveU

You will be the person responsible for scaling one of LiveU’s most important and most mission-driven markets. The work is real: the video you help put in the hands of a commander, a first responder, or a federal operator is the video that helps them make faster, safer, better-informed decisions. You will have the autonomy of an owner, the support of a global engineering and product team, and the commercial upside of a senior sales role.

Compensation & Benefits

LiveU offers a competitive total compensation package including base salary, variable / commission, medical / dental / vision coverage, 401(k), paid time off, and ongoing professional development. Specific base salary range, variable target, and OTE for this role will be confirmed during the interview process and calibrated to geography and experience.

Equal Employment Opportunity

LiveU is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. LiveU does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
