Public Relations, Marketing & Business Development Specialist

Effluent Retrieval Services (ERS) Levittown, PA

Position Summary

Effluent Retrieval Services (ERS), a growing mid-sized industrial and environmental contractor serving the Mid-Atlantic region, is seeking an energetic, creative, and relationship-drivenPublic Relations, Marketing & Business Development Specialistto help expand our brand awareness, support sales initiatives, and drive company growth.

This hybrid role combinespublic relations, social media marketing, content creation, event coordination, and business development support. The ideal candidate will work closely with company leadership and the sales team to strengthen ERS's market presence, generate new business opportunities, and build lasting relationships within the industries we serve.

The successful candidate will play an active role in developing marketing strategies, managing social media platforms, attending trade shows and networking events alongside our sales team, and helping position ERS as a recognized leader throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.

This position offers an excellent base salary along with commission and bonus opportunities tied to business development and company growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Public Relations & Communications

  • Develop and implement public relations strategies that promote ERS's services, projects, and industry expertise.
  • Draft and distribute press releases, company announcements, newsletters, and media communications.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local media outlets, trade publications, industry organizations, and community groups.
  • Coordinate community engagement initiatives, sponsorships, charitable partnerships, and public outreach efforts.
  • Assist with reputation management and company communications.

Marketing & Brand Development

  • Develop and execute marketing campaigns that increase awareness of ERS services throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
  • Create marketing materials including brochures, presentations, advertisements, case studies, sales collateral, and promotional content.
  • Maintain brand consistency across all company communications and platforms.
  • Assist with website content updates and digital marketing initiatives.
  • Track marketing performance and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.

Social Media & Digital Marketing

  • Manage and grow the company's presence across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and other relevant platforms.
  • Create engaging content including graphics, videos, project highlights, employee spotlights, safety achievements, company updates, and industry insights.
  • Develop social media campaigns designed to increase engagement, brand recognition, and lead generation.
  • Monitor social media engagement and respond to comments and inquiries as appropriate.
  • Track analytics and provide regular performance reports and recommendations.

Event, Trade Show & Networking Activities

  • Coordinate and attend trade shows, conferences, exhibitions, industry association meetings, networking events, charity functions, and community outreach events.
  • Travel during the workday with members of the sales team to represent ERS at industry events and business development opportunities.
  • Manage event logistics, registrations, promotional materials, booth setup, and follow-up activities.
  • Help maximize business opportunities generated through events and networking activities.

Sales & Business Development Support

  • Partner closely with the sales team to identify new business opportunities and support lead generation efforts.
  • Attend meetings, trade shows, and industry events alongside sales representatives to strengthen client relationships and promote ERS services.
  • Assist with client outreach campaigns, proposal development, presentations, and follow-up communications.
  • Help identify strategic partnerships and growth opportunities within target industries.
  • Maintain marketing, prospect, and customer relationship databases.
  • Coordinate customer appreciation initiatives and client retention programs.
  • Support efforts to convert marketing activity into measurable business growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Business, Journalism, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in marketing, public relations, social media management, business development, sales support, or a related role.
  • Demonstrated experience managing business social media platforms and creating engaging digital content.
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles, branding, and customer engagement strategies.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Comfortable interacting with clients, prospects, industry partners, and community stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, social media management tools, and CRM platforms.
  • Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar graphic design software preferred.
  • Photography, video creation, and content development experience is a plus.
  • Ability to travel throughout the workday for trade shows, exhibitions, networking events, client meetings, charity functions, and business development activities.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
