POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for driving the top of the sales funnel by identifying, connecting with, and qualifying new business opportunities. The BDM is responsible for executing a mix of inbound and outbound strategies to build a steady pipeline of leads aligned with company goals. They must be proactive, highly organized, passionate about prospecting new business and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. 

Note: ITA Group is also open to considering candidates for an Associate Business Development Manager (BDM) position. This role is ideal for individuals with limited or no prior experience but who demonstrate strong potential and the right mindset for growth. Responsibilities will align with the core functions of the BDM role but will be adjusted to reflect the scope and expectations appropriate for an associate-level position.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree with a concentration of studies in the area of marketing, communications, journalism, advertising or equivalent work experience.  
  • Minimum two years inside sales or solution line experience. 
  • Demonstrated effective selling techniques and strategies with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities while meeting deadlines and goals. 
  • Highly adaptable and a self-described “hungry” sales professional looking to leverage a strong work ethic and unique sales skills to successfully grow.  
  • Working knowledge of current trends in business with excellent written, oral, social and phone marketing and selling skills. 
  • Demonstrated commitment to teamwork and superior customer service, while maintaining a positive attitude and work environment.  
  • Clear understanding of marketing applications and the ability to develop marketing strategies in targeted industries.  
  • Ability to be creative while analytically viewing challenges to develop prospect-focused solutions. 
  • Excellent relationship building skills with a strong business acumen and aptitude to identify key business issues.    
  • Ability to listen, understand and respond to external and internal customers’ needs in a timely manner; customer service experience in a service-related industry preferred.
