About Bloom Equity Partners

Bloom Equity Partners is a leading Enterprise-focused Software and Services private equity firm headquartered in NYC, currently deploying capital out of Bloom Equity Partners Fund I. We specialize in unlocking growth in lower-middle market enterprise software and business services companies through control investments, further developing already-great businesses into market leaders.

Led by a team of technology-focused investors and industry operators, Bloom injects capital, operational resources, and playbooks into recession-resistant businesses to rapidly unlock transformational growth and deliver superior risk-adjusted returns to our investment partners and management teams.

At Bloom Equity, we are analytically minded, curious by nature, and voracious learners. We welcome people from different backgrounds, experiences, abilities, and perspectives. We are an equal opportunity employer with an inclusive working environment.

About the Role

As an Associate on the Investment Team, you will be a core member of the team, working across all stages of the investment lifecycle-from investment evaluation and due diligence through deal execution and post-acquisition value creation. You will work directly alongside senior investment professionals and portfolio company leadership to evaluate, execute, and manage investments in enterprise software and services businesses.

This is a high-impact, high-autonomy role at a fast-growing firm where you will gain meaningful exposure to every dimension of lower-middle market private equity investing.

Key Responsibilities

Investment Evaluation, Due Diligence & Execution

  • Build and maintain detailed financial models, including LBO analyses and operating models for prospective investments

  • Conduct preliminary screening of potential targets, including market sizing, competitive analysis, and financial assessment to determine strategic fit with Bloom’s investment thesis

  • Prepare investment screening memos and present initial findings to the investment team

  • Lead workstreams during due diligence, developing deep understanding of target companies’ customers, sales processes, churn dynamics, product positioning, competition, team, and market

  • Coordinate with external advisors—lawyers, accountants, consultants, and industry experts—throughout the transaction process

  • Prepare investment committee memoranda, presentations, and supporting materials

  • Support deal structuring, term sheet development, and negotiation processes

Portfolio Company Support

  • Work with the Board and management teams of portfolio companies post-transaction to improve operational efficiencies, sales and marketing workflows, and financial management

  • Support portfolio company M&A initiatives, including target identification, due diligence, and integration planning to fulfill buy-and-build strategies

  • Monitor portfolio company performance through financial analysis, KPI tracking, and regular reporting

Firm Building

  • Contribute to the development and refinement of Bloom’s investment processes, CRM systems, and internal knowledge base

Ideal Candidate

  • At least 2 years of Investment Banking or Accounting experience or 1 year of Private Equity investment experience (Hard requirement, please do not apply if you do not meet this requirement)

  • Ideally have experience in buyouts of B2B enterprise software or tech-enabled services businesses

  • Strong financial modeling and due diligence acumen across multiple transaction types

  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable investment recommendations

  • Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously with extreme attention to detail

  • Strong project management, organizational, process management, and communication skills

  • Excel in building strong relationships with intermediaries, management teams, and advisors

  • A bachelor’s degree from a top university with a strong GPA

What We Provide

  • Total Rewards: Competitive salary + discretionary bonus and full health benefits (Medical/Dental/Vision). Compensation band: $150,000-$250,000 Total Compensation - depending on experience

  • Mentorship, Not Management: Enjoy high autonomy within a lean, collaborative team that prioritizes your professional growth.

  • Direct Impact: Lead meaningful investment workstreams and gain direct exposure to C-suite executives and boards.

  • Accelerated Growth: Fast-track your career with a ground-floor role in a high-growth private equity firm.

  • Vibrant Culture: Centrally located office in Manhattan, fully stocked kitchen, annual retreats, and frequent team social events.
