Role Summary

Pharmavite is seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial Sr Manager/Director, Business Development, Global Supplements to support strategic expansion of Pharmavite's international supplements platform into the UK and Europe. This key leadership role will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, structuring, and supporting execution of strategic growth opportunities including acquisitions, partnerships, joint ventures, licensing arrangements, and ecosystem collaborations.

This role is central to Pharmavite's ambition to build a scalable global supplements platform capable of contributing $1B in incremental revenue by 2035 by leveraging Pharmavite's core strengths, including category leadership in the US; proven innovation, consumer insights and demand generation capabilities; positioning in women's health brands and HCP engagement models; deep science and R&D expertise; and established operational excellence.

Reporting into Pharmavite's EVP & Group Chief Financial Officer, this leader will serve as a dedicated business development lead and will partner closely with Pharmavite's Business Development Team in the field, Otsuka's mergers and acquisition team (known as "ONCE": Otsuka Nutraceuticals Emerging Ventures Team), Pharmavite functional experts, and other Otsuka stakeholders to identify, evaluate, build relationships, and help execute strategic growth opportunities in priority international markets. Additionally, this role will provide coordination and partnership support to the Head of Business Development, Global Supplements, UK & Europe, given the close working relationships with Pharmavite Executive Leadership and ONCE.

The ideal candidate combines strong commercial and financial acumen, as well as a general management mindset with strategic rigor and proven experience in business development, partnerships, and growth initiatives preferably within the supplements or adjacent healthcare sectors of consumer health, nutrition, or wellness.

Scope & Impact

  • Support establishment of business development strategy and execution in alignment with Pharmavite's Global Supplements Platform
  • Drive strategic expansion through acquisitions, partnerships, licensing, joint ventures, and ecosystem collaborations beginning in UK/Europe
  • Collect market information for supplements with a focus on priority markets
  • Track, identify and follow potential acquisition targets in collaboration with local team and ONCE
  • Operate as an enterprise leader partnering across Commercial, R&D, Operations, Regulatory, Legal, Finance, and Executive Leadership
  • Lead and coordinate due diligence process across all functions
  • Support post-acquisition integration and strategic partnership governance
  • Provide coordination and collaboration support across global business development initiatives involving the UK/Europe team and ONCE

Role Responsibilities:

Strategic Business Development Leadership

  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize acquisitions, strategic partnerships, licensing opportunities, joint ventures, and commercial alliances with a focus on UK/Europe and other priority markets globally
  • Support execution of business development priorities informed by Pharmavite executive leadership and broader global platform objectives
  • Develop strong external relationships with industry stakeholders, partners, investment bankers, founders, and ecosystem participants

Transaction Leadership & Execution

  • Partner closely with ONCE on end-to-end transaction processes from sourcing, evaluation, and valuation through due diligence and negotiation
  • Prepare strategic recommendations, investment analyses, and executive-level presentations for governance committees and senior leadership
  • Coordinate cross-functional diligence across commercial, regulatory, scientific, operational, legal, and finance teams
  • Support due diligence, integration planning, and execution activities for acquisitions and partnerships

Market Expansion & Platform Development

  • Support Pharmavite's global operating model with a focus on scalability, operational excellence, and strategic alignment
  • Help coordinate go-to-market partnership opportunities across consumer-led and healthcare professional engagement models
  • Provide post-acquisition integration and transition support activities to maximize value creation
  • Support UK/Europe business development leadership to ensure alignment and coordination across global supplements initiatives and Pharmavite resources in the US

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner closely with Pharmavite Executive Leadership and subject matter experts across Pharmavite's portfolio in R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Legal, and Commercial teams
  • Collaborate with ONCE and other Otsuka affiliated organizations to support successful global supplements platform development
  • Serve as a strategic advisor on global market trends, competitive activity, and partnership opportunities with a focus on priority markets

Candidate Profile:

Experience & Expertise

  • 8-10 years of progressive business development, corporate development, M&A, licensing, strategic partnerships, finance or commercial strategy experience preferably within supplements or an adjacent sector in consumer health, nutrition, or wellness
  • Demonstrated success supporting transactions, partnerships, or expansion initiatives
  • Strong understanding of the supplements and consumer health landscape, including regulatory and commercial dynamics
  • Experience operating in cross-functional and matrixed organizations
  • Experience collaborating with executive leadership teams and external strategic partners

Leadership Capabilities

  • Strategic thinker with entrepreneurial mindset and strong execution capabilities

Education
