About the Role

Our client, a very prestigious Real Estate Management firm in Vaughan is seeking a results-driven Commercial Leasing Representative / Business Development Manager to lead leasing initiatives across its retail, office, and mixed-use portfolio. This role is ideal for a high-energy dealmaker who thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings a strong network of brokers, tenants, and industry contacts across the GTA.

You will play a key role in driving occupancy, sourcing new tenants, negotiating lease transactions, and identifying growth opportunities across managed assets.


Key Responsibilities

Leasing & Deal Execution

  • Lead end-to-end leasing activity across retail, office, and mixed-use assets.
  • Prospect and secure new tenants through direct outreach, broker relationships, and market intelligence.
  • Negotiate Letters of Intent (LOIs), offers to lease, renewals, and lease amendments.
  • Conduct tours, presentations, and site visits with prospective tenants and brokers.
  • Collaborate with ownership, asset management, and property management teams to execute leasing strategies.

Business Development

  • Identify and pursue new management and leasing mandates across the GTA.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with national and regional retailers, office users, franchise groups, and tenant reps.
  • Track market trends, rental benchmarks, and competitor activity to inform pricing and positioning.
  • Represent the firm at industry events, networking functions, and trade shows.

Strategy & Reporting

  • Develop leasing strategies aligned with asset-level business plans.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline reporting, deal tracking, and forecasting.
  • Support marketing initiatives including leasing packages, signage, and digital listings (LoopNet, CoStar, etc.).
  • Provide regular reporting to senior leadership on leasing performance and opportunities.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of commercial leasing and/or real estate business development experience.
  • Strong knowledge of the GTA commercial real estate market (retail and office preferred).
  • Proven track record of closing deals and exceeding leasing targets.
  • Established broker and tenant relationships across key markets.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Highly self-motivated with strong financial and analytical acumen.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms; CoStar/LoopNet experience an asset.
  • RECO license required (or in progress).
