With over 5,000 employees globally, we specialize in the research and development of innovative ingredients for the Life Science and Consumer Care markets.

As we deliver our ambitious 2030 Growth Strategy, we are seeking a strategic, commercially focused Business Development Manager to join the Croda Beauty team based at the Princeton site. This role will place strong emphasis on portfolio management and the growth of differentiated Beauty Care technologies, with particular focus on skin care, sun care, and hair care. The successful candidate will help shape and execute the North America Beauty Care growth strategy by identifying high-value opportunities across existing and new products, managing portfolio priorities, and translating market, customer, and technology insights into actionable growth plans. Working closely with R&D, sales, marketing, global business development, product management, and manufacturing-site teams, this role will support lifecycle management, portfolio optimization, new product launches, and commercialization of technologies with strong market relevance, differentiation, and profitability. The position will be critical in connecting customer needs, innovation capabilities, product positioning, and manufacturing strengths to accelerate sustainable business growth for Croda Beauty.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Within the Beauty Care category in North America:

  • Drive growth of Beauty Care product sales by aligning regional business development, product management, and portfolio priorities with the Croda Beauty strategy, with emphasis on high-value skin care, sun care, and hair care technologies, profitability, and achievement of key business KPIs.
  • Lead and support strategic portfolio management for North America by assessing market potential, customer needs, competitive positioning, product lifecycle stage, profitability, and technology fit across the Beauty Care portfolio.
  • Work closely with regional manufacturing sites to identify opportunities for portfolio optimization, asset utilization, and scalable growth, ensuring business development efforts are aligned with operational capabilities and profitable technology platforms.
  • Partner with manufacturing, commercial, and technical teams to evaluate growth opportunities that strengthen site portfolios, improve mix, and accelerate commercialization of differentiated technologies with attractive margin potential.
  • Identify and collaborate with emerging brands, customers, contract manufacturers, and other key partners to drive business growth.
  • Build and expand the sales pipeline by generating and nurturing opportunities to ensure a robust pipeline.
  • Provide technical, marketing, commercial, and product management expertise to support product positioning, prioritization, and portfolio decisions, connecting technology capabilities with customer needs and business growth objectives.
  • Offer technical expertise and formulation support to customers, ensuring their product development needs are met with innovative and effective solutions.
  • Manage and support regional product launches, lifecycle management activities, portfolio rationalization efforts, and promotional plans for priority Beauty Care technologies.
  • Serve as the key liaison for Business Development in the region, ensuring regional needs and challenges are effectively communicated to the Croda Beauty Team.
  • Collaborate with the Global Business Development and Sales network to share insights on North American activities and best practices, while identifying and adapting successful strategies from other regions to drive growth in North America.
  • Stay current with the latest technical, regulatory, formulation, and market developments relevant to the Beauty industry, with particular attention to skin care, sun care, hair care, dermocosmetics, photoprotection, conditioning technologies, and related chassis technologies.
  • Conduct training sessions for the sales team and customers on new products, applications, market trends, and regulatory updates.
  • Identify regional unmet needs and proactively collaborate with cross-functional regional and global teams to develop strategic solutions, prioritize innovation opportunities, and support long‑term portfolio growth.
  • Participate in the preparation of marketing initiatives and new product launches as appropriate.
  • Gather and analyze customer and consumer needs data through market research and other relevant activities to drive business insights.
  • Attend and participate in specific conferences/exhibitions.
  • Serve as a thought leader by developing and delivering presentations at industry conferences, sharing insights and expertise to drive innovation and engagement.
  • Ensure completion of activities with appropriate attention and care on SHE principles by practicing the behaviors as defined by the Croda SHE Behavior Standard.
Who We’re Looking For:

At Croda, we believe our people are the heart of our success. We are committed to fostering an environment where you can grow, make a meaningful impact, and thrive.
