Federal and Law Enforcement Business Development Manager

5+ Years – On Site – Full-Time

Envision Technology, an innovative small business providing advanced electro-optical, night vision solutions and Drone technologies for defense, Law Enforcement and commercial applications, seeks a Federal and Law Enforcement Business Development Manager. The FED/LE Business Development manager is responsible for the execution of the overall sales and business development efforts for Envision Technology across the FED/LE and domestic business partner management, including the execution of the growth plan, business opportunities, sales pipeline management, distribution network, market analysis and capture strategy.

  • Flexibility to manage multiple projects at multiple locations seamlessly while using acute analytical and strategic skills to successfully guide and assist with the closing of business opportunities.
  • Gather market-leading intelligence and information about product and market areas assigned and disseminate information on a continuous basis to all pertinent parties concerning strategy, business capture, and the fulfillment of project goals and objectives.
  • Execute new business capture efforts, including customer/opportunity identification, quote generation, and sales administration through contract execution for all FED/LE business.
  • Perform continuous scanning of the market to gather trends, customer needs, budget allocations, market size, and competitive dynamics to develop short and long-term business plans and strategies to meet growth objectives.
  • Identify customer needs which align with the company’s capabilities.
  • Establish and maintain key business contacts critical to successful business development and growth including distribution and reseller networks for Envisions products associated with FED/LE.
  • Assist or Lead the BD and sales team with commercial sales and business partners as required.
  • Develop and strengthen key customer relationships; act as the “voice of the customer” during internal meetings.
  • Brief management and team members on status and /or action required in connection with existing and potential sales programs while maintaining accurate and up to date pipeline activities.
  • Contribute to the company product roadmap and development of the company’s annual business development/sales plan.
  • Support proposal and bid activities for all FED/LE and domestic business opportunities as required.
  • Interface with others in a fast-paced, multi-discipline environment, including program managers, engineers, suppliers, and customers.
  • Responsible for coordination, execution and attendance at all planned FED/LE tradeshows, events, range days, live fire demonstrations and customer engagements planned by the BD team and company.
  • Responsible for accurately planning and accounting for hours required on a weekly and monthly basis to ensure management is well informed.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in FED/LE business development and sales experience. Experience in the sales of tactical weapons, equipment and EO/IR both direct and through distribution partners is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of the FED/LE sales market segment focused on tactical team structure and procurement chains.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to interact with customers, suppliers, and other internal and external personnel.
  • Experience with system expectations in a FED/LE environment and/or challenging commercial environments.
  • Knowledge of FED/LE customers’ procurement processes and internation Traffic and Arm Regulations (ITAR).
  • Demonstrates ability to capture new business and cultivate customer relationships on behalf of the company.
  • Experienced in customer and product new equipment training.
