Location: Remote, based in Boston, Philadelphia, or New York City

Hyperion Solutions is a technology driven vertical transportation solution with facilities around the United States. Hyperion Solutions connects trusted and respected brands to create the premier integrated provider of Systems & Components, and Technical Services for the Vertical Transportation industry.

Hyperion Solutions is currently seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our commercial team. While this position is based in the United States, it carries responsibility for customers across all of North America. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, the Business Development Manager will play a key role in driving revenue growth by managing and expanding relationships with elevator business customers, including OEMs, hybrid manufacturers, and independent elevator contractors. The role involves negotiating, closing, and implementing agreements across Hyperion Solutions’ portfolio of elevator brands, as well as ensuring compliance with these agreements. In addition to initiating new customer relationships, the Business Development Manager will deepen engagement with existing accounts and maintain and strengthen overall account satisfaction. This position requires extensive travel throughout the United States and may also include travel to Canada and Mexico.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Market Growth and Feedback: oDrive sales growth and market expansion in the region for the full portfolio of solutions from Hyperion by building and managing a robust pipeline of opportunities.
  • Business Planning: oDevelop and execute a clear sales strategy and action plan for the region; coordinate with marketing and leverage CRM tools to support growth.
  • Customer Understanding: oAnalyze and assess the business needs of assigned accounts to position Hyperion Solutions as a trusted product and service partner.
  • Pipeline and Quote Management: oEstablish and manage a pipeline of growth opportunities, both with new and existing accounts to drive share and revenue growth; support the Inside Sales partners to maximize quotetoorder conversion
  • Negotiate contract terms with clients and communicate with stakeholders oTrack, identify, and add qualified accounts to CRM tools
  • Market & Competitor Intelligence:
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to inform strategic decisions.
  • Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience required
  • 5+ years B2B sales experience, elevator industry experience required
  • Technical background or ability to learn technical products and be able to competently discuss with both internal teams and customer representatives
  • Experience with Tableau and Salesforce strongly preferred
