Build and Grow a Market-Leading Consulting Practice
CGI is seeking a Director, Technology Consulting & Business Development to join our team in Reno, NV and play a key leadership role in expanding our consulting presence across the region.
This position is located onsite at our CGI office in Reno, NV.
This is an opportunity for a strategic, growth-oriented consulting leader who combines business development, client relationship management, technology consulting, delivery leadership, and talent development. The successful candidate will help strengthen CGI's presence in the Reno and Northern Nevada market, while also supporting growth opportunities in North and South Dakota.
You will have broad responsibility for growing client relationships, developing new business, leading strategic pursuits, overseeing successful delivery, and building a strong consulting team. We are looking for a leader who can establish trusted relationships with senior executives, identify and shape opportunities, connect client challenges to CGI's capabilities, and turn those opportunities into long-term strategic partnerships.
This role is well suited for an established consulting leader who enjoys building a business-not simply managing one.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Provide end-to-end leadership across business development, client relationships, consulting delivery, financial performance, and talent growth within your portfolio
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of new-logo opportunities, account expansion opportunities, and strategic consulting engagements aligned with CGI's full range of business and technology services
• Serve as a visible leader for CGI in the Reno and Northern Nevada market, developing executive relationships, strengthening CGI's market presence, and creating opportunities for long-term growth
• Support strategic business development opportunities and client relationships in North and South Dakota as part of the broader market growth strategy
• Develop trusted relationships with senior client executives, understand their strategic priorities, and connect those needs with CGI capabilities and solutions
• Lead strategic pursuits from opportunity identification and qualification through solution development, proposal creation, executive presentations, negotiations, and close
• Guide solution development and bring together the right CGI capabilities, subject matter experts, and delivery resources to address complex client challenges
• Drive thought leadership and innovation by identifying emerging market needs, contributing to new consulting offerings, and representing CGI at relevant industry and client events
• Maintain accountability for the performance, profitability, and successful delivery of engagements within your portfolio
• Partner across CGI business units and global delivery teams to develop integrated solutions and ensure strong client outcomes
• Recruit, coach, mentor, and develop consulting talent while building a strong leadership pipeline and high-performance culture
• Proactively identify barriers to growth, make sound business decisions, and create the structure and accountability needed to achieve portfolio objectives
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
What you'll bring
• 10+ years of experience leading medium to large consulting teams with significant responsibility for clients, delivery, growth, and talent
• 10+ years of experience defining, selling, and delivering complex business and technology solutions within a consulting or professional services environment
• 8+ years of experience owning or significantly influencing P&L, with demonstrated success growing, scaling, or improving a consulting business or portfolio
• Demonstrated business development success, including developing qualified pipeline, establishing new client relationships, expanding existing accounts, and closing strategic opportunities
• Established executive relationships and market knowledge relevant to Reno/Northern Nevada, with the ability to build momentum and expand CGI's presence in the market
• Ability to develop and leverage relationships and business opportunities across North and South Dakota
• Strong understanding of the technology consulting lifecycle, including opportunity development, solutioning, proposals, delivery, and ongoing account growth
• Demonstrated ability to engage senior executives, understand complex business challenges, and translate those challenges into compelling technology and consulting solutions
• Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making skills, with the ability to identify priorities and move the business forward with limited direction
• Executive presence and excellent written, verbal, presentation, and relationship-building skills
• Experience developing thought leadership, shaping consulting solutions, and presenting to executive and industry audiences
• Proven ability to recruit, develop, mentor, and inspire consulting professionals while creating a strong and collaborative culture
• Ability to collaborate effectively across organizational boundaries and leverage capabilities from multiple teams and business units
• Ability to travel as needed
Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Experience supporting government or public sector clients
• Experience with ERP or other large-scale technology transformation and implementation programs
• PMP certification
• Prosci, ACMP, or other recognized Change Management certification
• Experience building or expanding a consulting practice, geographic market, or client portfolio

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $127,500.00 - $223,800.00.
