Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Business Development Representative III to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. As a member of our Corporate Business Development team, you will support the execution of business development initiatives across the Enterprise.

This position can be hired as a Level 3 or Level 4, based on the incumbent's education and experience. The role will be an onsite position located in Falls Church, VA.

Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Support day-to-day operations of the Enterprise Business Development team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

  • Provide support and guidance on complex projects and initiatives related to Business Development and associated project goals, ensuring successful delivery within scope and timeline constraints.

  • Coordinate enterprise priority key messaging and associated materials, in coordination with sector and corporate staff, guiding execution of enterprise strategy.

  • Coordinate with business management, strategy, global supply chain, and engineering offices (as well as any other functions where applicable) to achieve goals and milestones in support of the Enterprise Business Development team.

  • Utilize digital tools to streamline processes and improve efficiency while following the process standards of the Northrop Grumman Business Acquisition Process (BAP), business strategy, and growth goals.

  • Maintain meeting and event records using various tools, such as Salesforce. Track and execute follow up actions.

  • Assist in the analysis of the competitive landscape, NG's capabilities, and business constraints to determine, document, and communicate the best strategy to meet the organization's Business Development objectives.

  • Add to a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and excellence within the Business Development organization, complimenting a high-performing team.

  • Support development of executive-level presentations.

  • Perform other operations and integration activities, as needed.

Basic Qualifications Level 3:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with a minimum of 4 years relevant experience.

Basic Qualifications Level 4:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with a minimum of 7 years relevant experience.

Additional Basic Qualifications for both levels:

  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to effectively support large diverse teams, across multiple locations.

  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and organizational skills, including the ability to successfully interface with executives and senior leaders.

  • Ability to provide independent critical assessments, that ultimately result in better outcomes for the Enterprise.

  • Maintain a level of discretion and confidentiality when dealing with special projects.

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills

  • Must have at least an active US Government Secret clearance, and maintaining is a condition of employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active Top Secret and/or SCI Clearance or ability to obtain TS/SCI

  • Knowledge of Northrop Grumman internal processes, procedures, and organization including customer relationship management tools (example: Salesforce).

  • Previous experience working with defense industry business development and capture processes.

  • Working knowledge of the Northrop Grumman Business Acquisition Process (BAP).

  • Understanding of international security cooperation, including supporting processes such as requirements development and customer engagement strategy.

Primary Level Salary Range: $114,000.00 - $171,000.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $142,200.00 - $213,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
