As a Director, Life Sciences at Iterative Health you will play a pivotal role in accelerating growth across our clinical trials business. This highly visible, external-facing role will be responsible for identifying, developing, and expanding partnerships with biopharmaceutical and biotechnology sponsors, helping bring innovative therapies to patients through cutting-edge clinical research.

You will own the full business development lifecycle—from market engagement and opportunity identification through proposal development, contract negotiation, and partnership expansion. This individual will collaborate closely with clinical operations, product, scientific, and executive leadership teams to develop commercial strategies that drive revenue growth and strengthen Iterative Health's position as a trusted partner in driving innovations in specialty research.

Where You'll Drive Impact

  • Serve as a primary commercial representative of Iterative Health to prospective and existing biopharma, biotech, and clinical research partners.
  • Develop and execute strategic business development plans to drive sponsor engagement, revenue growth, and long-term partnerships.
  • Build, manage, and expand relationships with key decision-makers across clinical development, clinical operations, medical affairs, and strategic outsourcing functions.
  • Lead the full sales cycle, including prospecting, qualification, proposal development, pricing strategy, contract negotiation, and deal execution.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop tailored clinical trial solutions that align with sponsor needs and organizational capabilities.
  • Partner with clinical operations and delivery teams to ensure successful execution and ongoing client satisfaction.
  • Gather and communicate market intelligence, competitive insights, and sponsor feedback to inform commercial strategy and product development.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of Iterative Health's value proposition, positioning, and go-to-market strategy.
  • Represent Iterative Health at industry conferences, scientific meetings, and business development events.
  • Maintain accurate opportunity forecasting and pipeline management within CRM systems.

What You Bring to the Team
  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Healthcare, Business, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in business development, strategic partnerships, clinical research, life sciences, or related commercial roles.
  • Demonstrated success developing and closing partnerships with biotechnology and pharmaceutical organizations.
  • Strong understanding of the clinical trial ecosystem, including sponsors, CROs, site networks, and research operations.
  • Established network of industry contacts and decision-makers within the biopharma sector.
  • Proven ability to negotiate complex commercial agreements and manage enterprise-level relationships.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment with evolving priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting clinical trials within cardiology, gastroenterology, hepatology, obesity, , immunology, or related therapeutic areas.
  • Experience within a CRO, site network, clinical trial technology company, healthcare technology organization, or sponsor organization.
  • Knowledge of decentralized, technology-enabled, or AI-driven clinical research solutions.
  • Advanced degree such as MBA, MPH, MS, PharmD, or PhD.
  • Experience managing strategic accounts and driving expansion opportunities within existing partnerships.
