The Sales Executive (Business Development) drives new business growth by identifying and developing opportunities with new customers and markets. This role focuses on building relationships, securing long term commercial agreements, and positioning DNOW as a preferred supply chain partner. The Sales Executive works closely with customers, operations, supply chain, and leadership to align strategies and deliver successful outcomes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities with new customers in targeted accounts, adjacent industries, and complementary markets.
  • Develop and execute market development plans, analyze market trends, and promote DNOW's products, services, and supply chain solutions through a value based sales approach.
  • Lead commercial discussions, negotiate long term supply agreements, strategic partnerships, and service contracts, while maintaining pricing discipline and profitability.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, position DNOW as a strategic partner, and align solutions with customer needs and future opportunities.
  • Serve as the primary commercial point of contact, develop proposals and value propositions, and drive revenue growth, profitability, and account performance.
  • Establish and achieve sales targets, support contract administration and receivables, and utilize HubSpot to manage pipeline activity, account plans, and opportunity tracking.
  • Provide regular updates to leadership and participate in sales and operations reviews to ensure alignment and accountability.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, Marketing, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or strategic account management.
  • Strong understanding of industrial distribution, supply chain solutions, and commercial selling models.
  • Experience in oil & gas, energy, industrial, or adjacent markets preferred.
  • Proven track record of generating new business and converting opportunities into long-term commercial agreements.
  • Strong commercial acumen, including pricing strategy, margin management, and profitability.
