Business Development Representative
Company Overview
Topaz HR Advisory is a dynamic outsourced HR firm serving companies across diverse industries, specializing in a broad spectrum of HR and employee relations projects.
Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and driven Business Development Representative to help expand our client base and support company growth. This role is ideal for someone with approximately one year of professional experience who is eager to build relationships, generate new business, and close deals. We value work ethic, persistence, and a results-oriented mindset above all else.
Location: West Orange, NJ
Schedule: Full Time, Monday – Friday, 9:30 am - 5:30 pm
Hourly Rate: $20 - $25 w/
Benefits: Health, Vision, Dental, 401k w/match & PTO
Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify, pursue, and develop new business opportunities
  • Conduct outbound outreach including cold calls, emails, and strategic follow-ups
  • Schedule and attend client meetings (virtual and in-person)
  • Represent Topaz HR at trade shows, networking events, and industry functions
  • Travel as needed to meet prospective clients and strengthen relationships
  • Maintain consistent follow-up to move prospects through the sales pipeline
  • Accurately track activity, opportunities, and client interactions within CRM systems
  • Collaborate with leadership to execute company growth strategies

Qualifications

  • Approximately 1 year of professional experience (sales, customer service, or business-related experience preferred)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable with outreach, networking, and confidently asking for the business
  • Willingness to travel and attend trade shows/events (reliable transportation required)
  • Self-motivated, organized, and goal-oriented
