Position Description: POSITION: BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE:FLSA STATUS: FULL-TIME EXEMPTLOCATION: IN-HOUSE/REMOTETAVEL REQUIREMENTS: INFREQUENTROLE PROFILEReporting to the Senior Director of Business Development, the incumbent will serve as a critical driver of business growth and client acquisition within our organization and will support Sargenti’s continued growth. This role will focus on research-driven outreach, disciplined follow-through, and diligent sales operations to help establish a more robust pipeline of opportunities in support of the firm’s Studio Directors.The Business Development Associate(BDA) is responsible for uncovering opportunities, identifying the right decision makers and influencers, and initiating thoughtful, well-informed conversations on behalf of Sargenti. The incumbent will proactively engage in researching industry-specific lead lists to identify accounts that are aligned with Sargenti’s proven business model, with an emphasis on sectors and project types where our portfolio is particularly competitive. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Lead Generation & Research• Identify prospective clients, markets, and partners aligned with Sargenti’s core sectors and growth strategy.• Research industry-specific lead lists to identify accounts that may be a strong fit as Sargenti clients, focusing on work where our portfolio positions us to win.• Research organizations, ownership structures, and key stakeholders to build targeted contact lists.• Maintain and refine ideal client profiles based on feedback from Senior leaders.Outreach & Relationship Development• Develop and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients and warm leads• Craft and send thoughtful, well-researched outreach to decision makers and influencers (email, LinkedIn, and other channels as appropriate).• Support Directors by setting up introductory calls, meetings, and presentations with qualified prospects.• Maintain a professional, soft-touch approach that reflects Sargenti’s reputation and long-term relationship mindset.• Uphold the company’s ethical and client-focused standards in all interactionsProject Agreement & Document Support• Coordinate with Directors and internal teams to support the preparation and routing of proposals, qualifications, and follow-up materials.• Maintain a comprehensive and real-time updated pipeline of leads and opportunities while providing regular metrics driven reports on potential business avenues and established goals.• Use PandaDoc to create, send, track, and organize proposals, NDAs, and other client-facing documents.• Help ensure documents are accurate, complete, and aligned with Sargenti standards.HubSpot & Sales Operations• Own day-to-day management of HubSpot, including contact records, company data, activities, tasks, and deal stages.• Keep the pipeline up to date so Directors and leadership have clear visibility into opportunities and next steps.• Build and maintain basic dashboards, views, and reports to support regular business development reviews.Coordination with Directors & Senior Director• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver seamless service and support.QUALIFICATIONS• Bachelor’s Degree and or equivalent, plus a minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in business development, sales support, or lead generation, preferably within professional services, architecture, real estate, or related industries.• Strong research skills with the ability to quickly understand organizational structures, markets, and decision-making dynamics.• Excellent oral and written communication skills with a polished, professional tone that reflects the Sargenti brand.• Proven track record of achieving or exceeding targets in a B2B environment.• Hands-on experience with a CRM platform; HubSpot experience strongly preferred.• Experience with PandaDoc or similar document automation tools is a plus.• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities and deadlines.• Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently while staying closely aligned with leadership priorities. $70,000.00 - $95,000.00 Annually
