The (USA) Director, Business Development provides strategic leadership by analyzing business objectives and customer needs to develop and implement effective growth strategies. This role drives business expansion through cultivating internal and external partnerships, managing risk, and overseeing sales and financial performance. The position fosters a culture of continuous improvement, talent development, and operational excellence while ensuring alignment with company values and compliance standards. By leading cross-functional collaboration and promoting customer-centric solutions, the Director advances business goals and delivers sustainable value across varied markets and stakeholder groups.
About the team:
The Walmart Facility Services team comprises over 9,000 skilled associates and partners supporting operations at more than 5,000 locations. This team delivers a world-class maintenance program emphasizing asset management, reliability, and disciplined execution. Expanding its scope, it drives value by optimizing asset performance and developing new service offerings, strategic partnerships, and commercial models. Leveraging operational expertise and scale, the team supports Walmart's broader business goals by generating incremental value beyond traditional maintenance, fostering growth through innovation, strategic business development, and strong customer relationship management.
What you'll do:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive business strategies aligned with organizational objectives to drive growth and profitability.
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships, managing mutual value propositions and mitigating associated risks.
  • Lead sales strategy development, oversee key account management, and negotiate contracts to optimize business outcomes.
  • Analyze financial performance, including profit and loss, to inform resource allocation and budget adjustments.
  • Guide program development and implementation, collaborating with project teams to ensure successful execution.
  • Foster talent development through coaching, mentoring, and succession planning to build a skilled workforce.
  • Promote ethical standards and integrity across all business practices and stakeholder interactions.

What you'll bring:

  • Demonstrated ability to manage profit and loss (P&L) responsibilities and optimize financial performance.
