Business Development Analyst
Job Description
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Business Development Analyst to support our federal business development and capture operations. This role is designed as an entry-level growth position for individuals interested in federal contracting, pricing strategy, market intelligence, and business operations.
This position requires ON-SITE work in our Chantilly office for 5 days per week for the first few weeks AND then regular schedule is ON-SITE 3 days per week.
The Business Development Analyst will spend approximately 75% of their time supporting pricing and financial analysis activities, including salary surveys, labor market research, pricing strategy support, competitive analysis, and financial forecasting for federal opportunities. The remaining 25% of the role will support market research, opportunity identification, customer intelligence gathering, CRM/data management, and pipeline reporting activities.
This role will work closely with Capture Managers, Pricing leadership, Proposal teams, and operational stakeholders across the organization to support informed bid decisions and growth strategy execution.
The salary range (or hiring range) for this exempt position has been established at: $75,000 - $90,000.
The above salary range represents the company's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. In addition, we offer a variety of benefits including company holidays, paid time off, health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, as well as 401K with company match. This job will be posted until filled or withdrawn.
Pricing & Financial Analysis Support
  • Conduct salary surveys and labor market research using federal contracting compensation data sources
  • Support development of pricing models for federal proposals and strategic pursuits
  • Assist with price-to-win research and competitive pricing analysis
  • Research incumbent contracts, labor categories, and historical award data
  • Develop and maintain pricing data repositories and benchmark databases
  • Support financial forecasting and revenue projection activities
  • Assist in developing staffing cost models and escalation assumptions
  • Perform cost analysis and identify pricing risks, assumptions, and sensitivities
  • Support pricing reviews and gate review preparation
  • Coordinate with Finance, HR, Recruiting, and Operations to validate pricing inputs
  • Maintain pricing templates, historical pricing libraries, and lessons learned repositories

Market Research & Business Development Support
  • Conduct market and competitive research across federal agencies and contract vehicles
  • Identify and track new business opportunities using government procurement tools and databases
  • Gather public intelligence on customers, incumbents, competitors, and acquisition trends
  • Research organizational structures, mission priorities, budgets, and procurement forecasts
  • Maintain CRM and pipeline data accuracy
  • Support pipeline reporting and dashboard updates
  • Assist Capture Managers with data collection and opportunity qualification efforts
  • Track recompetes, contract awards, and market activity relevant to corporate growth priorities
  • Help maintain capture artifacts, research files, and opportunity documentation
