Job description

Role Summary

Works with senior management to ensure the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and programs that maintain effective organizational security. Applies in-depth knowledge of security and/or business continuity best practices to minimize the organization's risk. Recognized throughout the organization as a point of contact and subject matter expert. May be responsible for managing a summer intern.

Responsibilities

  • Prioritizes and addresses complex or firmwide security and/or business continuity risks by reviewing various organizational needs and guiding managers on complex plans required to reach future state.

  • Manages the most complex global priorities. Develops new protocols in support of security and/or business continuity. Maintains the appropriate governance to ensure less experienced staff and managers are aware of identified business resilience risks and executing mitigation activities.

  • Directs less experienced staff on implementation of the security and/or business continuity strategy and ensures the appropriate level of risk awareness of responsibilities and accountability among more junior associates.

  • Manages business continuity program within assigned business units. This includes conducting a business impact analysis, developing business continuity and disaster recovery plans, testing those plans, and ensuring any gaps are remediated.

  • Designs and develops security or business continuity technology and equipment and ensures the proper integration with other systems and according to T. Rowe Price policy. Serves as the liaison to assigned business units.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND

  • 8+ years of total relevant work experience

Preferred:

  • Experience in operational security management, investigations, or crisis management

  • Willing and able to travel to other domestic and/or global office locations at least once a year to support cross-location collaboration and organizational initiatives.

  • Ability to thrive in a highly visible role, make meaningful connections with associates across the organization to better understand their needs, and work onsite five business days a week.

  • Experience with Business Resiliency and/or Business Continuity planning and execution

  • Knowledge of compliance requirements, safety regulations, and physical security technologies

  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to interact with staff at all levels

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, build relationships, and drive initiatives in a fast-paced environment

  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

  • Proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

FINRA Requirements

FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.

Work Flexibility

This role requires work to be performed onsite at the Baltimore, MD office location 5 days per week.
